Okay guys, here are a few announcements to keep everyone informed on what's CAK-a-lakin':
#1) PhishPhreek and Jeb are going to be holding a CAK swap meet soon. We're really excited for this. Sadly, I will not be attending however. David Co-Pres. should be there to answer any questions you may have or anything of that nature. (gracias amigos)
#2) We (as a group) will be collectively deciding when/where our first official CAK meeting will be. We would like to pick somewhere neutral that's not too far from everyone. We'd also like to pick a date and time and coincides with as many schedules as possible. At the meeting we will be discussing t-shirts and website design options. If we have any CAK artists, we'd like for you to get with Ek, David, or myself to showcase your artwork on the CAK website.
#3) We'd also like to introduce two sub-categories to CAK.
F.ART- Fish art, let's see what you can draw, carve, paint, etc. We'd like to see your colorful CAK-work.
SeaCAK- We'd like to "sea" your aquatic CAKS. Show ya mine if ya show me yours.
These will be the two categories in the CAK website aside from "General CAK Discussion"
#4) David and I think it would be best if CAK provided the meats and refreshments to our first CAK party. We will cover all food/beverage related expenses.
We'd just like yall to sit back and enjoy some good ol' CAK talk. If you'd like to bring something, feel free but for the most part, we have it covered. :wink:
#5) Before the above-mentioned is taken care of...we need an actual head-count of members. So, You can shoot me a PM or just write "I'm in" somewhere on this thread and it would be greatly appreciated. Being a member of CAK doesn't imply directly that you will be attending the meeting (we'll take that count later) we just need to find out how many members exactly that we have.
Again, there are NO DUES, NO PLEDGES. The only requirement is that you love CAK.
Sorry for the longgggg post. David and I just really want everyone to be connected to CAK. We already have quite a few "outside" members and we'd like everyone on fishbox to be directly involved in the creation of CAK.
We figured that if we all put of CAK's together...only good things can happen. Well, mostly good. :wink:
