  • Russia Invades Georgia

Well, let's see, we already got thousands of troops on the ground in Afganistan, and of course thousands more in Iraq, now we got some "advisers" on the ground in the republic of Georgia. We need to just stop pretending and start calling the shots all over the world. I mean it sure looks like we got another Ceasar in the making here, I'm beginning to wonder if McCain or the "anointed one" will ever take office, it would not surprise me if we had some sort of national emergency where it would be necessary for our commander and cheif to call a halt to the election and get us "thru" our national disaster with his wisdom and direction and after we are "saved" he might release his emergency powers back to the people.

Well I wonder if we'll see more troops shipped off to the Russian border anytime soon, could the draft be coming back....

    What do you all think?

Grab the happy indeed. My little sisters fiance just got out of boot camp for the Marines and is already getting "calls" from his officers.
Pfftt...I understand that freedom isn't free but damn, at some point we need to fix ourselves before we start calling the shots elsewhere.
        Just my two cents.

          I hear ya Steve.

Makes me wonder who wants what in Georgia. Since most of our foreign policy is determined by what the corporations want...

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I don't know fellow boxers, there's a lot of unrest and uneasiness all over the world these days, and I just dont' know what we can do about it....any ideas besides prayer? I mean prayer is good for the soul and all, but are we going to be able to get over/past our mistakes and find real answers out there somewhere ....Dang, I wish Ron Paul was at the helm....

I just squeeze my eyes shut real hard and hope that somehow Ron Paul will pop back up.

*squeezes eyes shut* No luck...maybe he can be VP and then when McCain goes on...."medical leave", he can take over.
