  • Sad Loss to the Comedy World

It was such a shock seeing that the very funny Bernie Mac had passed away this morning. I just read that he was doing well being treated for pneumonia....I am sad that he died at such a young age.....he will truly be missed....
RIP Bernie.....now you have a whole new audience....

A spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed to E! News that Mac had been a patient for "over a week" and that he died Saturday of "natural causes."

While Mac also suffered from sarcoidosis, an autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation in the lungs, his battle with pneumonia was not said to be connected with the disease.

um.... I'm no doc...but I would think that inflammation of the lungs and pneumonia would not work well together.
It is truly sad... I actually found him funny... not too many people are that funny anymore....

I heard that too. I saw him do a stand-up routine once at DrinkHouston....he was a rally nice guy. He saw an old lady in a wheel chair in the back of the room and he wheeled her to the front seats.  :(

He was really cool..  I watched many of his shows, but never saw him in person.  I liked his style of comedy and I absolutely loved his acting especially his work in George Clooney's Ocean's 11, 12 & 12 movies...

That is horrible!!  He was hilarious!  He made me laugh out loud.  And he was still pretty young.

The laughter he radiated won't soon be forgotten.      Very sad.

                      He made us laff
                      He will be missed
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
