Re: Whats your opinion on what Peace Officers are allowed to

    Well.

This was probably the wrong day for me to see this video.

You all have to realize yes, it is dirty police officers, but it is not just limited to police officers. There is such a level of moral decay today it has infested the hearts of every trade. We see it most in police officers because they get the most media. For the last couple of months a good friend of mine has been battling a sexual harrassment suit at work, The investigation was a joke, her confidentiality lasted all of twenty minutes before the WHOLE  government knew what happened. Her desk is ten feet away from the mans desk who is doing it, he is allowed to continue doing it since there are six people in the office, five of them think it's funny and then theres her. I have to listen to her cry and say how small they make her feel, and how no one will listen to her.

Then I see this video, My thoughts are this. Like Alexa said, I see that woman as one of my daughters. I see her as the woman I love, I see her as my mother. It could be any of them or it could be none of them but I know that what I see is not what I feel any woman should be subjected to. Ever. Bottom line. I have to say that I get angry thinking about it, more than a little. Partially because I feel powerless, as much as I said I would not tolerate it, what would I do against seven armed police officers? I am but a man. The only thing I do know for sure is that what is going on is the devils work, and I may be but a man however I am filled with the spirit of Christ and I am surrounded by a host of Angels and I will take a stand for His name. What does all that mean? It means these things will only go on as long as people do nothing about it, it is not a big action that is required to take a stand... no.. it is the little every day instances. Being honest on your time card, Making integrity a priority, Not allowing others to compromise your morals for you. When you do this, people around you react.. and by taking the first step you might cause someone else to follow... and these small actions ripple out like a stone tossed on still waters stretching out into the lives of who knows how many people. All because you took that small stand in your life.

I didn't watch the dog thing.

      Ramius,

You said that very well. I enjoyed all of it but the profanity. I think it would have been even better without it. I'm surprised that it wasn't replaced with EDIT automatically. If this was an all adult only forum, I wouldn't mind so much. But since this is a family oriented forum, I wish a different word would have been used or just simply left out. I'm not attacking you. I just think you made a mistake in using that word. Of course, that is just my opinion and it's against the rules of the forum.

There are bad people in all walks of life. The actions of a few are always magnified when those actions are wrong.

Re: Whats your opinion on what Peace Officers are allowed to

I enjoyed reading all the opinions very much, I think it should be magnified more with the cops because its a-lot easier for them to get away with it. This was mainly towards the corruption of Law enforcement because there is little we can do about it while its happening. (see my examples) We just have to wait until its done with and file laws suits.

When it happens with any other industry its a-lot easier to bring to light. If a employee is being harassed in any way, they can report to many agencys, they can even go as far as using force to stop it, they can yell rape and their co-worker can come to their aid. And if worse comes to worse, they can quit.

Its just hard because the police is the only industry that has power over civilians. And those civilians who try to "HELP" while its happening usually gets slapped with "interfering in a police" even a congress woman recently got hit with one of those when she saw an officer taking his power too far.

Re: Whats your opinion on what Peace Officers are allowed to

what's really eye opening to me is the fact that these are just "law dogs".....if you think this treatment of this woman was shocking i urge you to remember what it's going to be like when they start coming to your home to strip you of your guns. Or say they suspect you as a "terrorist" and believe me this is very close to being.....I know every time cichlidfan posts' something about the "new world order" all of you seem to just say ...."Pooshah"....well i'm telling you this is already going on in many places. Thanks to the self written laws of our so called "government" officials they are slowly but surely "legally" stripping us all of our "constitutional" right to bear arms or defend ourselves or to even be heard that we are being treated injustly. I do not agree with this woman's treatment one bit. But seriously do you think anyone will do anything about it in the end? Can you find anymore about this incident on the net and something being done about her treatment? I think not. Having been a victim of "police" brutality myself before I will tell you this much....It's not just the whinning of a drunken woman, or as some men put it..."hormonal"...it's the cry of a chance to be treated with respect and dignity..But the chances of this happening are fading my friends...I think as a nation we are headed into an abyss of this happening daily if we don't try to make a stand and say we're not going to take it. It's the right of every human being to be treated fairly...But even with video tape running who's to say what "fair" is when they have "law" behind them. I see sadder days ahead everyone....indeed sadder days.....So just remember when you say "i can't do anything" for you truly can if you want to. Tell your friends and they'll tell their friends and so on and so forth...As it blossums into each phase then maybe just maybe if we keep saying something then "together" we can change our courses ahead.

Okay that's my 2 cents worth on the matter.
as for the dog shooting....i think that policeman that shot him probably had a fear of dogs when that little dog came out of that car and he just reacted the wrong way, "scared of a little anklebitter"....but remember you get what you give....Karma has a way of catching up.....
