okay......so my fish are old enough to do this now?
they were just 1 inch in february when i put them in the 58.....
and i'm waiting on black sand to come in so i can transfer them to the 135......but i thought i had a long way to go before they start doing the hibbidy jibbity..... 8O


and i do a 20% water change once a week and they've never done this before....i mean they get all excited but not like that.....


p.s.....fruit roll ups are the thing to have for a hand hold huh?....what does it take for a kiss on the cheek?

Traci, they are shaking and turning side ways to (give access??)...i have watched the parents of these do this in their mating rituals and they are really doing this....i'm so puzzled about their abilities....Steve says they aren't fertile but they will do this in the learning process....i'm just amazed that they start doing this so young?....it's really cool to watch them as they go thru the pecking order and try to lure the female over to their rock area.....

i'm going to try to get shots of them tonight if they are still doing it......

That is so cool!!  They are learning....awwww....  :)

I read an article about a guy who had some Moliro's who started doing that before they even went into adult colors...and would even hold the eggs for a while.  But it took about 6 months for them to hold long enough to spit fry.  Sounds like Teen Pregnancy is running rampant in your tank.

i guess they found out that i'm working at an ob/gyn clinic now.....sheesh....do they make birth control for juvi fishies?....
i'm excited though....i feel that if they are doing this i must be making them happy and they are really healthy....
i'm proud of them to be sure....they are my prize fishies....and very special to me....

edmlfc has 'puffer love'...we have 'troph love'.     You know, when I went to Bolivia that time...I had separation anxiety.  I sure missed my 'puppies'.

i'd have to agree with that.....
i love these guys big time....of course i love all my fishies...
but these are my precious babies....
i waited so long to get them...and have patiently watched them grow as i have nurtured them from little baby fishies.....
and who could ever resist those little faces.....

i know i can't....good thing they can't ask to borrow my truck....i'd probably let them...... :wink:

That makes today not suck so bad...need to work that trick on James..."I'll only hold your hand if you give me an engagement ring" :emtidea: My parents copped out on the "talk" as well..Girl Scouts and Middle School Sex Ed. So awkward but so many amusing memories. I'm also picturing "Mean Girls"

OMG!!! LAMO...i was just thinking the same thing about that horrible middle school class i went to. They gave us "lady time products" and deodorant! We need to make an educational fish video Loretta. Just say no to pre-marital spawning.  8O
