I went into a Luthern Church for the first time ever in my life.  HAving been raised Roman Catholic all my life, and not taken eucharist for almost 10 years because I have not been to confession....

It was very different that they start off by saying you are completely forgiven of your sins today, and anything in your past, just by being at the service.

For those that are Catholic, they would understand.

Switching gears here slightly....I've found the mormons to be warm and geniune people, I'd be very tempted to return to the LDS church if they would have me.... :)

When I was in college and leaving town, I sold my stereo to a Morman guy, married with 3 little girls, for $200.  He gave me $50 cash, boo-hoo'ed about being a college student with a wife and 3 kids, and promised to send me the balance.

Never saw that money.  Careful about characterizing and stereotyping peeps, especially the "religious, GOD fearing" ones.  They're just as bent as everyone else.  

Nice try at diverting the topic though.   :P
