I think it was timed on purpose, to maximize the effect.

The Texans game sucked, and we left for the bar at the end of the 3rd quarter, and all everyone could talk about at the bar was the speeches of the convention.  

Makes me wish I'd seen it.

Granted history may have been made but,

Ron Paul is the only one who is truly interested in restoring the former American way of life, both McCain and Obama are merely puppets for the new world order, and in my opinion, neither one of them will help the economic situation we are facing.

But that's a mute point now...

I agree that if I were a Sheeple,...after hearing this round of speeches by Obama, his wife last night, and Hillary...I was ready to sport the Donkey suit too, and go vote RIGHT NOW!!

Well, I do know one thing for sure. I've got pretty strong feelings about both candidates. It's hard to know what is real and what isn't these days. There is one thing for certain. You would not have been able to get me to go to the DNC. I wouldn't be caught there under any circumstances. You can hype it all you want, Oooohhhh!!! 80 gazzilion people were there.... Yada yada yada. Big whoop! Just imagine being in the middle of those crowds and traffic afterward. It would have been a nightmare

I just think it was amazing that history like this was made on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther Kings Jr. I Have A Dream speech.

That dream featured the notion that it is the content of one's character....not skin color....that's important. I think that a more fitting tribute would have been for race not to have been mentioned at all.

i think that it was purely strategic.  I think that he hopes that he will sway some of the hillary supporters.  We will see.  I have been raised a Republican but i try to keep an open mind.  Bottom line is that there has to be some change in washington.  That will not happen untill the majority party of congress matches that of the white house.  Untill then both sides will continue to fued.
