It is centered around a guy in LA who - if memory serves me correctly - has his car break down, leaves it in the middle of the highway, tries to get breakfast in a fast food restaurant after breakfast time , he resorts to taking out his gun to get breakfast, and walks across LA to visit his estranged family. He had a flat-top hair cut, black plastic glasses, a narrow black tie, and carried a suitcase. I can't seem to remember its name and my searches on google have been fruitless.

What about the movie where that dude gets together a group of other dudes to rescue their very best dude from a POW camp. And one of the dudes opens up a "whole can of whupass" on the younger dude.
