    How does I-10 going into houston from beaumont look right now? Any updates? We decided if it stays on this track we will leave early Monday morning and head to Tomball. We were going to leave in the morning and still might but I am known to be hard headed. They haven't said anything about closing I-10 so we should be ok. I don't want to leave until the absolute last minute.  
    A house without a puffer is not a Home.

      Well the odds are improving.
      We now have 3 turning left and 3 turning right
      Tomorrow should tell the tail

      He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

        This is the first time I've felt better about it.  Been watching the Weather Underground website and we were still included the in the models until this update.

            There is always a chance that we could get hit but the last update looks even better for us.  They wont know for sure untill it moves further past cuba.  You never sent me a pm back!

                looks like rain and wind for us.....so far so good....let's keep our optimism high ..and of course all those folks in LA in our prayers......this is not a teeny weeny storm to be sure.....

                  Yeah, Gustav has been faster than expected and will be knockin on the levies soon enough....if you have family there....I hope they left already....

                        I have some friends who live only a mile or two from where the eye is going to hit and they did not evacuate. I hope they are okay.  :(
