Was anyone near I-10 east today?

I had to go to Federal and I-10 today. This was around 11 ish. I hhit I-10 at 59 and was stuck in traffice for atleast an hour. From my place this is normally a 15 min drive. I saw more big rigs then I ever saw. I guess they spent the night west of Houston the past few days....

I check with a friend from TXDOT and she mention traffic was backed up to pass 610 west and I-10 at one point all the way past Orange.

WOW!

It make you wonder if we can evac Houston in time of a major hurricane! And get everyone back in a faster matter.

There were big rigs parked all along the seawall...they just moved out today. There must have been about 30-40 of them....just parked there. It was a pain to wait for them all to back out and then u-turn back to 45.  8O

Hmm. I had to run an errand this morning, at around 9:45. Going East, everything was great, no traffic at all. Then right before the 45 turnoff traffic was horrible. I attributed it to the fact that I-10 was 5 or 6 lanes and had to bottleneck into 3 with 2 exits...Which way were you going?

Some friends went crabbing out in Galveston Saturday night.......the rest of us stayed at home to play poker and drank... the ones that stayed went home about 7am Sun......slept and woke back up around noon in attempt to make it to the Gunshow......those that went crabbing were suppose to also go the the Gunshow but they were stuck on I-10.

Market st will take you down to i 10 & Uvalde. After that your own your own.

I work off I-10E near the Beltway. It has been VERY heavy both yesterday and today with traffic from Louisianna. I noticed this morning on my way to work (6:30AM) that most of the cars around me had LA tags.
