Re: Obama ought to
Don't you know NO ONE can predict what the voting public will actually do?
I am still trying to understand why Barak Hussein Obama is the Dem's Golden Child; Palin and McCain are my kinda people...except for immigration, Creationism, abstinance sex ed only, etc.
I am so looking forward to The Day After ... the election.
Just to see if the truism still holds, that we always get the government we deserve.Working for a better Future for my Fish!

Re: Obama ought to
being a parent Jim....one can only hope that what you teach your children will sink in....but i would hate to think that we'll all be held accountable for what they do on their own accord....that's a very scary thought...... 8O
i for one don't think she's got enough time on her hands to do the job.....it was a "token" gesture on McCain's part to pull her in on this....she should go home and take care of the special needs child she has instead of paying other people to take care of the child for her.....that's what i say.....
but of course it's just my 2 cents worth.....not to offend anyone else on their opinions....for we truly have the right to those now don't we.....
by the way Jim.....my discus are doing very well....they eat out of my hand.....i do thank you so much for all of them.....

Re: Obama ought to
I find it hilarious almost the attacks the Dems are throwing at Palin.
She is a mother she doesnt have time for the job.
Her daughter is pregnant so she is unfit to be a vice-president.
She is a governor of Alaska so she is unfit for the job.
What happened to all of the Dems talk about equality and women having a chance to be on a ticket. Thats right it was all talk because the Dems dont care they just like to talk the talk. The closest a minority or women ever got to a high office in a Dem presidency was Bill Clinton the first balck president. Oh wait he is white thats right so lets see who had the highest office during Clinton that was either a woman or minority? That would be Albright (Sec. of State) and Espy (Sec. of Ag).
And what about Bush well lets see he has had several prominent woman and minorities. Rice (State), Powell (State), Gonzales (Att. General), Norton (Interior), & Veneman (Ag). That would 3 women and 3 minorities when Clinton only had 1 and 1 going as far as Agricultural Sec. Now the Republicans pick a woman to be veep and Dems just want to tear her down because it isnt about equality it is about they are against anyone that isnt one of them.

Re: Obama ought to
The only thing I can add to the last post would be to include the complicity of the media on these attacks. The major media is doing its best to decide the presidency and it's reprehensible. Where was the investigation of Obama? Where was the questioning of his suitability?Charles Jones

MarkWhat are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? I have little use for the lying and chicanery that goes by the name of politics. I like to think of myself as a pragmatist and a realist. I'm not impressed by pretty speeches or flashy slogans. In my version of the food chain, 99% of politicians are somewhere just above lawyers, both of which fall below whale sh_t. I don't argue the necessity of either species in our system. I'm just tired of all the lying and meaningless talk. Tell me the truth...I may not like it sometimes, but I respect it. In other words, Don't piss down my back and tell me it's rainin'.
