    Re: More Big Oil News

Look at the google numbers again...it WAS in billions. I don't understand your second sentence...please translate into English. My speech, which has little to no chance of coming to fruition will be from the heart and needs no preparation.

D you are missing the point. Googel make more per dollar of revenue then Exxon does. It does not matter if you get one million dollars and the other gets one billion dollars it is a ratio of earnings-to-revenue.

Last I checked when you give them money, you get your gas, the product you're paying for.

Get your hands out of our (the stock holders) and the oil companies pockets. If you want something back, share the risk and buy the stock.

Or better yet, revisit your (yes YOUR) career choice and go find a way to make more money.

While many Americans struggle to fill their gas tanks, big U.S. oil companies are making so much money that they literally don't know what to do with it.
Instead of reinvesting more of their newfound wealth to increase supplies or develop emerging technologies that might one day reduce energy costs, they are giving much of the loot to shareholders already enjoying outsized gains.

The above is taken from MSN Money today.

I especially loved the use of the word loot in the last sentence.

Maybe they could help the government prop up Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac?  That was a major blow to the overall US Economy.

I can assure you, The oil companies couldn't do what you are suggesting without a stockholder vote and I know it would be fiscally irresponsible to do so. And those dividends or "loot", the people like myself who choose to work hard for what we have rather then piss and moan about what others have or what we don't have... We call that loot a return on our investment, or retirement fund.

Maybe you should write a check to Fannie Mae or Freddy Mac since you are so concerned about it.

Yeah right, easier to just keep crying about it and wait for someone else to do the work.

            Re: More Big Oil News

If you really knew how much "Big Oil" made off of a gallon of gas, this discussion would be a over and done with.  Why don't you gouge the nice folks over seas where most of the oil comes from that is refined to produce the gasoline and diesel.  Or try and gouge the government agencies that tax the crap out of the "Big Oil" companies so that Uncle Sam can get his share.  There is a ton of money going into investing into emerging technologies.  There are plenty of places that "Big Oil" could drill to get oil but the Govt. officials and the tree huggers of the world won't let that happen.

And Fannie Mae went bankrupt...  Was that "Big Oil's" fault too...LOL??????

But the bottomline is who have more!

Google make 20 million vs Exxon 4 billion

              Which one is more?

I forgot "the bottom line is...". Please add that to "all I know is"

First off...check the Google numbers again...I believe you're incorrect The Google number is in the billions.

Second...by your logic...if a company invests, say $10,000 in something and makes 20 percent (that's $2,000) then they are gouging WAY more that the company that invests $1,000 and makes 50 percent (that's $500).

We started this all off on a poor premise. Last time I checked...both the oil companies and companies like Google were FOR profit companies. This means that they are supposed to make money, supposed to pay dividends to stockholders. They put tons of money into research...it's in their own interests. Government already taxes the big companies in a punitive fashion...that's why companies are getting larger and larger. There is strength in numbers.

Oil and gas is what keeps us going here in Houston.  Just be glad we didn't start with manufacturing jobs like the "Big Iron" states with unionized labor.

http://www.realtor.com  search Detroit MI for homes under $5000.00  I get almost 1,900 "investment" opportunities.

The headlines I shared here on the box with you all, where written by the good folks at MSN Money: Not me.

The comment I made in reference to the take over of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac where merely to point to one place that the LOOT could be used for something good like supporting one of this countries oldest financial institutes.

PS...I do make payments to Fannie Mae..

I personally, accept the fact that we (the american public) are being slowly consumed by corporations and governments without any real concern by the majority of those whom are being fed upon. Some of you would like to believe that this nation, bottom line, can do no wrong, well, my friends, your good intentions are well received, but you are fools. You bury your heads in the sands of patriotism and attack those of us who would call alarm to the danger.

So be it, hide your heads in the sand, and let the NWO run your a$$ down.

Here's a headline I was going to post, but I did not see any point at the time..

                          Re: More Big Oil News

Yeah that doesnt make any sense D you are saying the oil industry is gouging us more. However, there costs of providing the oil we need takes about 90% of the revenue they produce but like I have mentioned in another thread the Banking industry cost of providing us our own money is roughly 65% of the revenues the produce. So who is taking advantage of us more does it really matter that Exxon's 10% is 4 billion and JPMorgan's 35% is 1 billion? To me JPM is taking advantage of me and telling me to bend over and take it and I have no say in it at all.

D read it Exxon says in millions but the only show thousands of dollars which means take the 1,000 they show and mulitply by 1,000,000. That would equal 1 billion. For google they say in thousands but show millions which means 1,000,000 and multiply by 1,000 that would also equal 1 billion.

Well look at insurance and drug companies. They gouge us daily.

But....look at the money spent on lobbying between google and exxon. I bet that all the research is not research.
