There was some looting in our neighborhood but it wasn't bad. Probably kids being stupid, they broke into one of the houses before the storm hit and ate all the food. Luckily for them they didn't visit my house- I have guns and ammo all over the place.

We drove by a shell last night and there was a car parked in the grass and flashlights zipping around.

A friend in the neighborhood almost had someone rush him into the house after dropping me off at 2am.

Why would a truck with 4 people in the back be driving around a neighborhood this morning with flashlights??

Even if they are hunting salvage stuff, its not theirs to be taking.

Speaking of Curfews..City of Laporte will not let you in if you do not have a drivers liscense without a LaPorte Address on it after 7pm

Theres no curfew in.................   Austin.   I got so freaking bored in Houston yesterday and knowing that classes would be canceled monday and tuesday, decided to head to the ATX for some much needed debauchery.  Power had been restored at my house and I knew my family was safe so I got the ok to "take a break".

No I wish...Right when I got to Scott and 45 (no power in the whole area).

Cop walked up and asked me if I knew about the curfew. I told him I been at work trying to bring up the campus and helping with FEMA. He looked into my truck and saw my key ring, walkie talkie and work boot in the front seat.

The cop looked at me and asked if I knew about the curfew..told him yes, but I just left work and he said have a good night and be careful.

I said thank you.................roll up the window and cursed him out!

He's just doing his job.

I got stopped yesturday in LaPorte.  Told him I was going to the plant, he told me that definately after 7pm unless your drivers liscense has a LaPorte Address, you were not going to be let in.

I'd rather know that he stopped me, than to know he just let me by.
