    Re: politics

I was just thinking I should post this with each line on a seperate message

Interesting -- Does anybody in Congress realize this
    is how the numbers work?

I'm against the $85 BILLION bailout of AIG. Instead,
I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a
"We Deserve It" dividend. To make the math simple,
let's assume there are 200,000,000 bona fide U.S.
    citizens, aged 18+.

Our population is about 301 million counting every
man, woman and child. So, 200,000,000 might be a fair
stab at adults 18 and up. Now, divide 200 million, 18+
adults into $85 billion - that equals $425,000.00
each! Yes, my plan is to give that $425,000 to every
adult as a "We Deserve It" dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So, let's assume
a tax rate of 30%. Everyone would pay $127,500.00 in
taxes. That sends $25.5 billion right back to Uncle
Sam! It also means that every adult 18+ has
$297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife would
    have $595,000.00!

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00?

Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads.
Put away money for college – it'll really be there.
Save in a bank – create money to loan to
    entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs .
Invest in the market – capital drives growth.
Pay for your parent's medical insurance – health care
    improves.
Enable deadbeat parents to come clean – or else.

Remember this is for every adult U.S. citizen, 18 and
older (including the folks who lost their jobs at
Lehmann Brothers and every other company that is
cutting back) and of course, for those serving in our
    Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do
it! Instead of trickling out a puny $1,000.00
    "economic incentive".

If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's
bail out every adult U.S. citizen! < /span

As for AIG – liquidate it.

    Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American
    General.
    Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and
    clean it up.
We deserve the money and AIG doesn't. Sure it's a
crazy idea, but can you imagine the coast-to-coast
    block party?!

How do you spell Economic Boom? W-e D-e-s-e-r-v-e I-t
d-i-v-i-d-e-n-d! I trust my fellow adult Americans to
know how to use the $85 Billion "We Deserve It"
dividend more than do the 'geniuses' at AIG or in
    Washington, D.C..

And remember, my plan only really costs $59.5 billion
because $25.5 billion is returned instantly in taxes
to Uncle Sam. Good idea? I think so.

PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND WE COULD
    MAKE IT A REALITY????????????????

    ------------------
I recalculated the number to double check
I show the 2006 population estimates for people 18 and
    older to be
    225,662,922

    using that number and $85,000,000,000,000

it would be $376,667.99 per US adult.

Maybe if we confiscated all the high paid CEO's
bonuses we could jack that up some more.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

BTW, I love the way Obama's camp came out saying Palin doesn't have enough experience to be VP when Obama has less than 200 days experience in public office and he thinks he can be President.
      Proof?

Sworn into office on Jan 4, 2005 as an US Senator

Serve 8 years as a Illinois State Senator

      Obama graduated from Columbia University

Obama graduated from Harvard Law School

Wait...let me pull up the other folks information...

I think Palin went to several different schools to earn a BA!?!?!?!
My appologies. I was not taking his time as a State Senator. But ti be fair, Senators don't run anything like a governor runs a state or a president runs a country. And less then 200 days is in reference t the time he has been acting "In Congress" not how long he has been a congressman. If you ask me Congress is a pretty cushy job for both parties since they are part time working positions.
True to your last statement...both how many Presidents was former Senators.

              Palin:

Governor of Alaska since Dec 2006

implemented the Senior Benefits Program that provides support for low-income older Alaskans

She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to provide oversight and maintenance of oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure

During her first legislative session, passed two major pieces of legislation – an overhaul of the state’s ethics laws and a competitive process to construct a gas pipeline

served two terms on the Wasilla City Council

and two terms as the mayor/manager of Wasilla.

              Palin Education:

attended five colleges in six years before graduating from the University of Idaho in 1987

              A little bit more information:

Seem like being a mayor out rank being a Senator or a Representative of the House. But lets compare numbers to numbers of the people being served by each person!

Obama: There are only two senators from Illinois...So I will split the population number in half to be fair:

              Illinois population:12,831,970/2= 6,415,985 people

Biden: There are only two senators from Delaware. So I will split the population number in half to be fair:

              Delaware population: 853,476/2 = 426,738 people

              McCain:

There are only two senators from Arizona: 6166318/ 2 = 3,083,159 people

              Palin:

I will break it down per each elected office:

She was a member of the Wasilla, Alaska, city council from 1992 to 1996 population at the time 4700 (avg between the 1990 Census and 2000 Census).Wasilla City Council is comprised of six members who are elected at large, by residents of the City of Wasilla. So to be honest..here we go

Wasilla City Council is made up of 6 members: So I will divide the population number by 6 to be fair:

              Wasilla population:  4700/6 =783.33 people

As Mayor from 1996 to 2002: 5,469 people

As Governor of Alaska:  670,053 people

Now lets add the numbers and see who represented more people. It's late so Charles, I will bust you again on tomorrow if I have chance with election numbers per candidate.

You're missing the point...a governor doesn't represent people....a governor governs (leads) people....hence the name. You can slice it any way you want, but she's actually the only one with political executive experience among the four of them.

For that matter leading a polar bear would STILL be more than Obama's executive experience. The point is that he has NONE...ZERO. So you did miss a point...or intentionally ignored it. You can't call game...set...match because you'll never win in the realm of ideas. It's part of being a liberal. Your job is to obfuscate facts.

                              Hmmmm

So if you represent over 6 million people it's still less then being a Governor of less then a half million. So by your therory....everyone should drop out and Palin should become president right?

You know what....you are pissed because I presented facts. Yet, you trash talk every post but have yet to come up with anything to support your case

Ok...I'm not pissed. You presented some facts. If you had a better understanding of the system and the english language you would know that I have basic definition to support my case. You have said this in the post yourself. Obama is a representative (as a Senator). That's different from being an executive. That doesn't mean it's less THAN (not then) being a governor...but it is different. One is an executive position...that is, a "the buck stops here" kind of position. The other is a one of many type position that votes as a body. That's not an executive. It's interesting to note that if a senator dies in office that a governor names his or her replacement. How does that fit in with the way you're trying to spin things?
