Re: What happen to the Houston Texan's football season?

Dallas just got Roy Williams insane. I have always loved Roy when he played for UT he has great hands and mad skills. Hopefully this will turn that offense out. Owens, Williams, Witten, Barber, and Crayton. That is lights out no matter who is QB. GO boys

Re: What happen to the Houston Texan's football season?

Roy Williams played for Odessa Permian while in Highschool.

He played the exact same time as Cedric Benson did for Robert E. Lee High School in Midland.

I am from Midland, and during this time everyone knew that Cedric was in trouble with drugs and had a very dark background and a rough bunch of friends.  Everyone in Midland knew this guy was going to be in Trouble one day for someone.

Roy on the other hand, was pure class all the way.  His mom is a very big church goer, and he and his mom are tight.  The guy even in interviews at the High School level, you knew he as going to be something one day.  The guy was impressive, even if he went to Odessa Permian

Glad to see that he is finally going to a team that will compete, even though I think Tom Landry would be turning over in his grave if he knew what kind of direction the Cowboys have taken in the past couple years with players.  That man would be proudto have Roy on this team, but people like TO, and Pacman, he'd not even blinked twice to think about even considering them to carry his clipboard little less be on the team.

You should read one of Roys interviews with I think it is the Detroit press, but he is a very intellegent guy. In the article the guy asked so what do you do in your free time. And expecting the same answer most players give Roy busts out with I sit at home and watch movies and a bunch of nerdy things. He mentions he doesnt like going out so that he wont get in trouble or someone get a bad impression of him. And he mentions that all he wants to do is save his money so he can have a lot of money when he is done with the NFL.  8O That was my expression. I have always loved his skills but I never heard about him because he doesnt come out and run his mouth but I had no idea what kind of guy he was and how straight he has his head screwed on unlike most players

cowboys fans should realize that this is houston not dallas.

doesn't matter who your WR is if you dont have  a QB.

on a lighter note......I GOT TICKETS TO THE GAME THIS SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!

I will cry if we don't win......and i will boo if matt "F"s up.

I got into football right when Houston had no team and my Dad has always been a Cowboys fan so it was a natural fit. I still love the Texans though.

Re: What happen to the Houston Texan's football season?

I dropped my season tickets after Carr got sacked more than a potato.

I've had them back for the past season and I just felt like this was our season.
I'm not trying to be critical but I feel like Richard Smith needs to go. I was a little upset that
Frank Bush didn't come from the Cardinals. I'm just a big defensive line fan (I grew up when the Aggie Wrecking Crew was still a wrecking crew)....and I just think our defensive line is weak. We're 31st in defense and if I'm not mistaken we're 19th in offense and 7th on special teams, WE SHOULD BE BETTER.
I'm just saying we're too young to be running a 4-3, we're not ready and it's showing.  :(

But I still wear my Texan's jersey proudly.

Guess who invented the 4-3 defense...

                      Tom Landry

Honestly, Mario and Amobi are really good.  The other two guys are not really all that bad.

I think our real problem on defense is relative-weak secondary, and the linebackers other than Ryans are 2nd and third string rejects from other teams, and that is WHAT SHOWS..

+1, we need to get a few veterans.

Maybee if we get Robinson back at 100% things will improve drastically.

I think the next two games are must wins for us, that will build alot of going into Minnesota, and then back home again for Baltimore.

Could be 5-4 coming out of this run, which we really need, we are alot better than this.

Texans are not that bad, they are better than their record.

We could have won the jags and colts game.  Either way, the season is not over and we got a chance to win the next two games.

Can't wait to see Robinson get on the field tomorrow!

Robinson will help but he tore his ACL less than a year ago, it will take him some time to get back to the Dunta we know. We have drafted to many D-Line men and not enough backers, and safeties.

D line is not as strong was people think.....or as fast as need to be to play the zone blocking scheme.  The fact that we give up an average of 131 rush yards a game, which makes us 24th in the NFL, shows that we are not as fast as we need to be.
