 hmmmm... just confirms what we all knew! And, of course, everyone jumps the gun and blames President Bush and the republicans... We are in so much trouble if Obama gets elected...

          Re: The fault lies with...

The fault lies with the media. I can't believe the ads to MTV and by these "celebrities" telling "kids" who to vote for and who to "persuade their parents to vote for".

It's sickening how liberal the media is. To make matters worse, it's my generation that's listening. They have to clue who they're voting for or the consequences of their uniformity. It's appalling.
If someone wants to vote for Obama because they honestly believe in his ability to lead the country, so be it. If someone votes for Obama because they are in conformity with his convictions and ideals, fine.
But when we have thousands of college students voting for Obama because a few rappers (ludacris and will.i.am) are singing songs about Obama changing the nation, I'm upset. I'm disgusted. They're making him out to be a friggin' demigod. They should just stick him on the American dollar already. No one knows who George Washington is anyways.

I'm disgusted that my generation follows whatever is popular like a herd of lackadaisical phlegmatic cows. ACK!

                    Re: The fault lies with...

I agree with Alexarae. If you have looked at the issues, and you think Obama has - and will implement - the answers, then great.

But when it's this: brainwashed - I begin to worry, and am reminded of another "charismatic" leader from the past who had organized youth groups in his name.

Either way, this is as much politics as I am willing to talk.

                      Re: The fault lies with...

lol- sorry to scare you all. I had to go jogging after that to let it out.

It all started because I went to dinner with my twin sister (Alannah). She said she had to leave early because she was going to an "Obama Rally". Understand that Alannah and I are on different spectrum's of the earth concerning almost everything, so I wasn't surprised. She's always been a DIE-HARD democrat.
Soooo...we got to talking about Obama this and McCain that...then, I started to realize that she didn't even really know anything about him!!!! I got "upset" and called her an uninformed voter and she invited me to the rally because aparently I'm not properly informed about Obama.

I get to the rally and there are literally 200 people. I know that in the broad spectrum of things 200 is nothing but that is 200 McCain votes canceled. So I sit down and listen because I don't think that it's right to disrespect people just because you don't agree with them. But throughout the whole thing there were no facts about either candidate, there were no true statements made then they BLAST these two songs like it was a war dance!
So I asked the little speaker guy if they were going to get into any political issues or facts and he said listen to the song because they tell the facts. I was and still am in awe.
I know that not all Obama voters and democrats are like this. There are quite a few educated voters on the box. But to see a bunch of teenagers lifting their hands and getting on their knees basically screaming the words to a song. It scares me.
Now I'm not the preacher that David is and I don't convey my faith in the same way that he does (he's very audible if you haven't noticed   ) but I do believe that I will only get on my knees for one man and that doesn't walk this earth. People are honestly just blinded by Obama...it's like a trance. Even some people who know the facts, they're ignoring them.

And for those of you who are going to go on about the "on my knees" thing...CAREFUL PERVS!!! JESUS IS WATCHING. JK

And for Nick..."ACnskjdhfjhakka", there I spit it out. Just for you.   I burned my soapbox while I was at it.
