Re: Beware of Cichlidfan... See The Fish market

This is something that needs to be resolved by the parties involved and I am not talking about the Republicans    and democrats :? ! As for as the politics are involved, I do have to give the respect to those who differ from myself. I can honestly say that I might not agree with Delocks and others when it comes to which direction that this country needs to be directed but at the same time, I am glad that they are involved enough to fight for what they believe in. I do believe that the personal attacks and I am also involved, should not be happening but sometimes you get so into who is right and who is wrong that it makes both parties look like one is not any better than the other!

Fishboyt... Sometimes you have to let people who differ from each other work their problems out. Be thankful that we are in a country that we can do just that and also thank God that the parties involved are not face to face. As far as the politics go, I said it twice and I will say it again! If Washington would be this involved, they would get more done.

As for as the religion goes, I was upset because someone did attack my beliefs. I never once said anything about those who believed any differ than I. To eachis their own is what I believe in. As for as the Muslim religion, I never said that it was wrong! I just wish that if the shoe fit than that candidate should wear it.

I am sure that Delock meant to say that America is not perfect but other places are far worse!

Re: Beware of Cichlidfan... See The Fish market

                      Quote from Imaguygeek:

"The truth is, he got the first batch from Charles at Fish Ranch. Charles gave him the name of the LOCAL houston distributor which is about 12 miles from where Steve works. They sell this sand by the bag for $7. I don't mind Steve buying and selling the sand, it's the way he does it with this made up story. I buy mine from Fish Ranch now and am happy to pay Charles for his efforts. He is honest about how he does business."

This is where the saying "no good deed goes unpunished" comes from.  I don't know if you are making this up or if Charles from Fish Ranch is feeding you this because he is not sure who he may have talked to about this sand, but this is all lies. The sand came from Sand Express in Columbus Texas, a local distributor I work with lives out there and he picked it up for me. I paid him nearly 400.00 for the sand, and if it will shut you up, I will be happy to fax you a copy of my receipt. I gave Delock the phone number for Sand Express and you can call them and verify that they sold the sand to Touchstone Editions, my contact.

As God is my witness, everything I have said to you in regards to these foolish and childish accuasations is TRUE, you sir, apparently do not bother confirming any of your "facts" before you sit down at the keyboard and talk trash about me. I sure would hate to be you come the judgement day. I too may have some sins to be concerned about, but bearing false witness against my neighbor is not one of them.

                      CF

End of thread as far as I'm concerned.
Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Re: Beware of Cichlidfan... See The Fish market

Ok....before this gets too out of hand

I don't recall exactly what I told who....but this is my recollection.

I think I told Charles where I get the sand. I may have speculated that maybe Steve was getting it from the same source. I may have sold Steve a bag while I was at the old store, but I honestly don't remember that for sure. This past weekend Steve told me where he had gotten it. I truly believe that Charles thought that Steve was getting it from the same source as I. Now that all of that is said let me say that none of that really matters.

We have two issues here. (1) Steve regularly posts negative comments about "big oil" and "big business" and the NWO and all that. Charles, for various valid reasons, has a problem with that. Charles is trying to point out that Steve is being mercenary in his business dealing just like those that he criticizes. (2) Something happened at a GHAC meeting and then spilled over into a thread on HFB between the two parties that I truly don't understand.

I am very uncomfortable making this post. Now take the time for a moment to think about who that's coming from. I'm not exactly shy. The fact of the matter is that I'm friends with both of you. My name was brought into this and I felt the need to at least say something about it at that point. Maybe I'm wrong for doing so. But what I'd really like to see is some sort of reconciliation. Is there really so great an issue between the two of you that it cannot be resolved? You're both intelligent men and truly, in the grand scheme of things knowing both of you, I think that both of you have the forgiveness in your hearts and even tempered nature to agree to disagree. No one is saying that anyone is right or wrong. I'd just like to see it end amicably. Again, remember who this is coming from. I've driven poor Derek to all sorts of horrible behavior...but we both, even as heated as it all got, understand that in the grand scheme of things such disagreements are really trivial. You're both grown men. I have no right to lecture anyone (OK...well maybe delock). What I'm trying to say is that you both have the ability to let this go...no matter how wronged you've been, no matter how bad you think the other's behavior is...and I, as friend to both of you, would love to see that happen.

                          Seriously CF???  8O

You can't even keep up with your own lies. First you drove across Tx to get the sand and the price was for your time and gas, and now your buddy delivered it. You PM'd us "Just trying to break even" by selling us a tank for $1200 then you post it for $850 (Having failed at your attempt to milk my wife and I) and today you admit you paid $800 for it if that is even true. Then you tell us that the black sand has to be purchased and delivered from across Tx and Spot finds it for sale at Tractor Supply Co. (maybe this wasn't a lie and you just don't know what you're talking about) and as for "bearing false witness against my neighbor" yes, when you told Derrek you couldn't sell him your tank for $600 because you paid a lot more for it than that... I think that falls into the category of "bearing false witness against my neighbor" an honest answer would have been... I can get more for it. And WHY would Robert lie to ma about this? You are the only person that has anything to gain here. And then you tell us that Robert is running an all cash business tax free but today you have a receipt??? Receipts are for businesses, businesses keep books, books are for recording money, recording your expenses and earnings is for TAX records...

Yes, I believe Charles and Derrek. I do business with them on a regular basis. Neither of them have been caught in a tangled web of lies. This is why I will never do business with you on any level. You could learn a thing or two from both of these guys and everyone else should be aware of the fact that you seem to see HFB as your personal ATM.

I can make receipts for anything also.

Re: Beware of Cichlidfan... See The Fish market

I'm new to this group and do not know either party, CF or GuyGeek, except by their posts and I have no dealings with either.  Personally, I think they should handle it in an appropriate manner, privately.  Since this has ceased to be a private matter allow me to say the following.

                                1.  Buying items from within the group with the sole intention of reselling, back to the group, with a high mark-up is cheesy.
                                2.  Taking a private message and making it public is malicious.
                                3.  Not telling the truth is wrong.

In my opinion, items purchased from the group should not be for resold for high profit back to the group.  It breaks an unspoken trust and damages the sense of community that the HFB desires as a whole.  Be opportunistic somewhere else.  But it's not against the law, it's just lame.

Private Messages should remain private.  Dirty laundry should remain private.  There is nothing to be gained by making a public declaration in this manner.  It damages reputations, bruises egos and puts everyone on guard in the worst way causing more retaliations and ugliness.

Lying is unethical and demoralizing.  How many people will read this thread and feel happy that they are members of this community?  So, stop attacking each other and play nice.  The best voice of peace and understanding comes from a young person wanting to maintain fair play and kindness to one another.  From the mouths of babes.

Go walk the dog.  Pet the kitty.  Feed your fish.  Hug someone close to you and tell them you love them.   :goodman:  I'll be at the auction; if you need a hug, just come and grab me.

                                And, finally,

Get a grip.  ...And get over yourselves.
