What I dont get and it must be a complex of the Dems why is it fair that if you make more you have to take on more of the tax burden of the country for example.
The top 1% of the income in this nation pays 39.4% of the tax revenues and the top 50% of wage earners pay an astonishing 96.9% of the total tax burden. So when you put up a nice little chart D that says Obama wants to give back to the bottom 50% them money back when they only pay 3.1% of the overall individual tax revenue. That to me is absurd and if the Liberals are so inclined to tax the wealthy because they wont mind it. Then tell me why Obama isnt volunteering to pay more taxes now do you think that he doesnt have a tax accountant try to find ways for him to pay the least amount of taxes of course he is not stupid.

What I find interesting is Obama made $1 million in 2006 paid 277K in taxes and donated $60K while Bush on the other hand made $719K in 2008 paid $222K in taxes and donated $166K. Well by golly Bush made less paid more taxes and donated more then Obama yet Obama wants to raise taxes on himself yet he has not volunteered to pay more ahead of his wonderful tax hike only for the wealthy to show leadership. And I also attached John Kerry and his wifes information below and you will see the trend is startling that Dems love to say tax the rich they dont care but they dont want to pay themselves. Just go look up that evil Cheney his is just as good makes over $1.5 million and pays .5 million in taxes by far more then good old spread the wealth Obama

If a little more reading the news and research is done then everyone would know that they economic uptick in the 90's started after Bush Sr. economic and tax policies went into effect right before he left office. The nice boom we had in the late '90s was a bubble built on the back of a week and inflated sector that could not sustain itself and the lax governmental standards promulgated during the '90s lead to the tech bubble burst in 2000-2001 and the Enron, Worldcom, and Tyco collapse in 2002. You will also find out that they housing and financing issue that we are having right now did not start last year or even 6 years ago. In fact if you begin digging you will find out that it all started in that wonderful go-go era of the 90s when the government began relaxing government regulations on the banking industry and darn near demanding that the banks and particularly Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac begin getting into the sub-prime sector more to "help" the lower income people get into homes. Because Clinton and the Dems like Barney Frank wanted to feel good about themselves like they were helping the lower income and the one of the knocks I have on Bush is he could have stopped this by cutting the crap and not allowing the government to look the other way while all these banks were getting in the sub-prime. They were more than willing to do it if they can charge an outstanding interest rate and know that the government will assume all the risks which is exactly what the government did in their charters with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac there were to act as the defacto in the event of the loans going bad. And as we see they under estimated the impact of what happens when the banks went crazy giving out money like its Christmas

How can you point out one year. 2006 return showed donation from an election year. I wonder how many Tax shelters Bush and Cheney have set up since 2000. As for as a tax accountant...everybody should seek one at some point.

scratch  election.... I meant book sales and some of the proceeds  from the books sales  was given to charity.

Democrates need to take their guns down to the nearest police station and turn them in. Obama will be so proud of you. Go ahead and put a sign in your front yard that says " NO GUNS HERE". I'm sure  that will give you a sense of safety!

McCain's plan...the one delock posted...wants to cut taxes for EVERYONE. Obama's plan raises taxes for the wealthy and pretty much ALL business. So businesses can either close down or raise prices. Gee...I wonder who suffers from that one. Raising taxes is a way to stifle the economy. You can't tax your way out of a deficit....you have to grow your way out of a deficit. Raising taxes on business and gving it to the poor only so they can give it back to businesses is just a way for Obama to move money around so that he can attempt to redistribute wealth.

I actually talked to a couple of my military buddys and they told me yesterday that the military for the most part are terrified to have Obama as president. McCain should had the military in commercials talking to the American people. If they don't trust our military.... they won't trust nobody!
