    Re: auction

    Alexa

Most people bring their fish bagged up just like they do at a fishstore.
You have about 24 hours from the time you bag the fish to they have to be home in your tank.
I rarely see deaths at an auction except I had a ton of my fish decide they didnt want be with us.. and I had only bagged the fish up on 100% o2 less than 8 hours earlier and I had 50% of my Brichardi's die on me.   My 10 leleupi looked like they could have stayed another day in the bag without a problem and they came from the same water everything identical..

I bought home tonight 10 cyps juvi's and 4 ABN's.. and they are right now swimming around happy in my tanks.

Is anyone using the "breathable" bags ?

I keep a bubbler in my car...I don't know why.

I let my mom drive my new car yesterday. Apparently she sneezed while driving.
She was trying to find a kleenex and she ran into my bubbler.  8O
She walked in holding it my "it's nose" and asked me what it was.
She had that face...you know, the high school face...the "what exactly is this Alexa Rae Torres" face.
God only knows what she thought it was.

I told her it was a bubbler. She wanted to know why I carried a bubbler in my car.
I believe that her exact words were "For what? Incase you find a fish on the side of the road?"
I am still lost for words.  8O

But have you adapted it to run off of the cars 12v system ?

              Re: auction

Those bubblers can't handle a full 12v so you would have to put a regulator on them....  don't ask me how I know

Mine run on 2 "C" cell batteries - 3 volts, so all you have to do is wire 4 of them in series.
and put 4 bait boxes in the trunk......

                        Yep!

Or you could go with something more industrial and run it off the cigarette lighter with an inverter... run a tank in the back.

Did David leave the title for his car? Us in the back was saying how if he kept it up he would have to walk home.... Not hearing from him yet would make it safe to say the lady friend at home didn't like it too much...

I've used the kordon breather bags with cichlids and had bad results

                                1. they are too thin b/c they have to breath
                                2. you cant double bag
                                3. you cant put that many fish in one bag

maybe if you were using them for for guppies or something like that you would have better results but i wont ever use them again.
