Just wanted to point out something

Now that you lost and begin to write your speech (or have a ghost writer do it). I have to bring a few things to your attention.

1. The definition of bet. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/bet
2. You lost so all shots are called by the winner. The winner is I.

I noticed your post on another thread about you doing your speech at the end or toward the end of the HAS auction. I find this unacceptable. If I would have lost you would have put me at the beginning since the auction is being held at a place of "honor" and you felt that this would embarrass me greatly.

First, I would like you to present your speech at the start of the auction or shortly after with the commanding attention of everyone in the room. It been years since I been to HAS auction and I know most of people are gone at the end based on the last one I attended.

Second, don't make a mockery of me or those who attend to hear you. This speech should be as equal emotional as McCain concession speech.

Third, any and all booing or name calling of either Obama or Biden is not accepted. You as the speaker must quickly dismiss this action.

Fourth, You must acknowledge President Elect Obama as your President!


I feel that this is fair!

Well, regardless of where it takes place, I'll most likely be attending my first whatever meeting. :)

I haven't seen Delock since Jonas bought our lunch and I would like to meet Charles along with everyone else. :)

2. My speech is my own. I'll make a mockery of anyone I care to. It's my speech so don't tell me what it should be. I decide what it should be as long as it stays within the guidelines of what I committed to.

3. I will decide what is "accepted" in my speech. You have the option to listen or not. I as the speaker will do what I choose.

4. I cannot at that point because at that point Obama will not be my President, nor anyone else's for that matter. Heck, if you knew the rules, you would know that he won't even technically be the President-elect at that pont because the Electoral College will not yet have met.

I'm not going to allow you to change the bet as you choose. If you were smarter, you would have provided more specifics at the beginning. But...sadly for you...that's not the case. This is the definition from the link you provided: "1. An agreement usually between two parties that the one who has made an incorrect prediction about an uncertain outcome will forfeit something stipulated to the other; a wager."

I stipulated (notice the word from the definition) exactly what I would do and so I shall. If you wanted other restrictions or requirements you should have been intelligent enough to stipulate them in the beginning. You can't go back and do it after the fact. Now....I will not allow you or this (or anything else) to be a distraction at the auction. And trust me...I would love to give the speech to as many people as possible. If you wanted to stipulate times, you should have done so previously. You don't call any shots whatsoever other than what I wagered to do.
