      I read an article that was an abridged version of a paper that basically predicted a large bubble in the markets, then a crash and it discussed ways of dealing with it, particularly a bailout, and why that was a bad idea...

      the paper was written in the 60s or 70s.

      it has a large compilation of articles from the past 10 years that show a pretty clear picture of the causes and what a good response would be...
