  • My brother was promoted!

My brother found out today that he's been promoted to Lt. Colonel. I'm very proud of him though I try not to let him hear me say that.

That is big news. Congratulate him and thank him for his service from the geeks.

                    Army / Air ?
We didn't have no Lt. Colonals in the Navy
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

LOL, he's Army. My dad is a 28 year vet of the Air Force. I like to tease my brother that the Air Force is brains and Army the brawn, but since he's got 3 masters degrees and is working on his Phd that's a tough sell.

PS...............my dad spent one year in the Navy before switching to the Air Force. He was just away from home too much in the Navy.
