You just need to host a GHAC meeting at your place and you will have a NW chapter
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
Humm, I'm not exactly what you'd call youth group material. Passed that up a long, long time ago. But, I'm sure if you wanted to start something, you'd get a lot of advice, requested and sometimes not requested here.
Reasoning with some people is like trying to nail jello to a wall...

You wouldn't have to be. This would be an all ages fish group.
I think this would have to be its own seperate group and not a chapter of GHAC because when I go to GHAC I want to see everyone not have to go to different chapters to hang out with everyone because I wont drive all over town to see each chapter.
This group would be it's own group! If it would happen, we would have to choose a name for the group. It wouldn't be a chapter of any other fish group in Houston.
I can sympathize with prefering closer meetings, but I dont think a club that covers the same territory (both area and topic) as existing clubs would be that successful.
I wouldnt necessarily say that I mean GHAC and HAS cover the idea of general aquatic people and encompass the city. The only thing is difference in view points of direction and this is not meant to be a shot at anyone or group so no one should get their undies in a bunch over this. I am saying that multiple clubs can coexist with no problems as long as it serves its members you might have a problem when you get to many clubs in the same area lack of attendance doesnt help the club last.
Lol- starting a fish group isn't as easy as you think. Maybe you can just push for more meetings if that's what you're looking for.
There's funding, contests, prizes, lots of expenses, finding a place to have the meetings, trying to please everyone...I'm with Raul, we need a smiley that has a headache.
Oh that reminds me, i need to post in CAK. *insert headache* YOKE
