Couple things...
1. Delock/Delock AE (Alter Ego)
2. I haven't spoken with D but I can only assume he was curios about other's thoughts on the entertainment/pageantry aspect of a political event/tradition. The thread seemed to be going down the race/political performance/preferences and feelings path about Obama which starts to get borderline IMHO.
I made the same mistake a while back and learned to avoid topics that can blur the line.
For the record though, we have had threads about topics other than fish and many of those have not been moderated. We have even had topics and discussions involving the NWO, The Economy, Stock Market as well as questionable Broadway Musicals
