When she said her name I totally missed it. I didn't know who she was and it never hit me, the boat is full of french people. Duh! Thanks to geekgirl for telling me. It bothered me all night, trying to figure out who she was. I can't wait til next week.
CF,
You can rent the first couple of seasons at hollywood if I'm not mistaken.
Okay fellow Lost Addicts...make sure your DVR's are prepared. I read that tonight's episode is going to run an extra 6 minutes. Sure would suck to have the DVR cut off with that much time left.

THANKS!!!!! I hate it when the DVR cuts off. If for some reason someone misses all or part of it, I think Comcast on demand replays it, as well ABC.com... I think. :)
From someone who has not seen lost at all..
What is the fascination about Lost ? Every time I see a commercial for it, I get confused.
Anyone wanna give someone who is lost a Lost run down ?

Well, you are literally opening Pandora's box with that question. I'll give you a very short summary. A flight from Australia to Los Angeles crashes on a mysterious island in the south pacific. The survivors soon learn that they are not the only inhabitants of the island, that the island has some sort of unexplainable power(s), and that they are all connected through their past experiences.
What makes the show so addictive is the level of detail poured into it. Unlike most shows, this one had the ending written before the first show was ever shot. It has a five season arch, and unlike X-files is supposed to not leave any loose ends or questions unanswered once the show completes.
This was also the first show to completely incorporate viral internet interaction with mock websites take from fictional corporations found in the show. When unlocked (or soft-hacked) fans gain access to new information about the plot and the island that is not revealed in the show.
Each episode focuses on a flashback of a different character that helps explain what is currently happening on the island in that episode. This show is Sci-Fi at its best and if completed as scheduled, will go in the history books.
The show has had its speed-bumps, like in season 2, ABC splitting the season up into six four episode chunks leaving fans and viewers outraged, along with the show's producers JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Carlton Cuse. The demand was so great that ABC promised not to mess with the layout of the show again, and returning in season three, the show was shown in three large chunks (per my spotty memory).
The main draw for me is the subtle clues thrown out for us die-hard Lost fans. Everything on the show 'means' something.
Example, and this will make no sense to you since you don't watch, but it's an example of something I like....
There's a van transporting John Locke's body in a coffin. The camera pans out and you see the name of the company on the van. It says "Canton-Rainier". Canton-Rainier is an anagram for Reincarnation. There has always been a question of whether Locke was going to remain dead. Another major theme of the show is the question "What is 'dead'?"
I just hope it stays on track and keeps backup up everything that happens with science.

Like I said... I am still Lost... but its okie.. I will leave myself lost.. because its better lost than not knowing if I am lost.
