  • Where where you or what where you doing when ?

Do you remember where you were or what you were doing when some of the most memorable events in our history occurred? Do you remember what you were doing or where you were?

These may not be in chronological order and some of you may not even have been born when these events occurred. It also does not reflect the importance of any one event over another.

The day John F. Kennedy was assassinated

    The day Elvis died

The day of the Exxon Valdez disaster

The day Robert Kennedy was assassinated

Sept 11, 2001 – no more needs to be said other than the date

The day Martin Luther King was assassinated

The day of the 1994 Northbridge earthquake in California

The day Richard M. Nixon resigned

The day John Lennon was assassinated

The day Princess Di was killed in an auto accident

If you want to add more events to test our memories, feel free to do so. I don’t even know what I was doing at the time a lot of these events occurred.

I can remember all of them, but only a few of them can I tell you where and what I was doing when I heard about them.

Most memorable would have been these two .....JFK & 9/11.

        CF......

You can breath now, I'm done.... :)

I believe I was in School that day. I remember my cousin was so in love with Elvis and he was very upset.

At home watching TV, something I never do early in the morning, talking to a friend on the phone and telling her "TURN YOUR TV ON!" This was before the 2nd plane crashed into the twin towers.

I wasn't born for some, but of the ones I was around the only two I remember where I was. For 9/11 I was driving in the car. When Princess Di died I was at home on maternity leave with my second son.

September 11: I was teaching in an alternative school in Jacksonville, Fl. One of the probation officers came in and turned on the TV just as the second tower was hit. We suspended all lesson plans and spent the week talking about the Middle East and the politics involved.

Princess Diana: Partying at a "round the world" fraternity party in college.

I remember watching news reports for the Exxon Valdez disaster and the Northridge Earthquake, but don't remember where I was for them.

He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
