Eartheater deserves a big attaboy for helping me tote this beast into the den....Thanks Brian...you were a huge help tonight....

Fishlady is being nice enough to return the favor I extended to her almost a year ago, and is giving me about 25 or more juvinile Red Chimba's....all F1 from the wild caughts I got from Fishcrazy in 07.

I've just recovered from my heavy breathing after Brian helped me get this beast into my den, here's what I'm setting up.

I got this Oceanic sump from a fellow boxer and after I give it the once over to make sure it's in good working order, I should have the tank cycling by the weekend. Along with the Oceanic sump, I'll be running a FX5, along with air sponge and powerhead. I plan on finding a bio wheel for the return line from the sump if it will accomidate the flow...???
I'm not sure about that one, but we'll see.

Any ideas or comments folks? Feel free to share....

    Thanks again Eartheater....see you soon.

Wow, CF! I didn't know you bought my Chimba's that I sold Jeff. Small world.
I tried contacting Jeff not too long ago. He seems to have disappeared. Have you heard from him?

Great looking tank Steve. Some people do like to take care of their things.

I would not use the bio-wheel for the return unless you have been wanting to live on the water.

Nice tank! I think screenname has a 75g that matches.

I was thinking the return from the sump maybe too much flow for the bio-wheels on there....it was just a thought, I seen one of those marineland land bio wheel dohickeys recently and thought it might be worth a shot...

Unless you want to rely more on the canister you could put a lower flowrate return pump. That would allow for your idea to work but even then I would be cautious.

BTW... why is this in the lounge?
