Seems like they city council decided the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. Dang California Communists.

They banned smoking in apartments where smoking inside could harm others surrounding them. It's the same thing they have done in restaurants, bars, airplanes, trains, taxi cabs, office buildings, etc.... Obviously this is shocking b/c it's her "home", and considered private, but it's also a shared living space and so it follows the precedent that has been set and enforced for years. Even France has started banning smoking in public places. It would have been different if this lady lived in a stand alone house without shared walls.

If government is going to ban anything, they should ban junk food.

At the same time you allow them to ban anything they should also ban....

Guns for they have a habit of shooting others on their own.

Pen/pencils cause they have cause our children to show how lost they are though mispelled words.

Cars cause it causes murders, drunk driving and probably the end of the world.

When I lived in Chicago I had an apartment on the 3rd floor. My downstairs neighbor was a BBQ fiend and a moron who couldn't start his fire without half a bottle of lighter fluid. He also cooked on his balcony 2 seet from the door and directly under my balcony. I never reported him even though my place would be flooded with fumes and the law required him to be at least 6 feet from the building.

It was a good rule and I should have reported his hill billy @ss but don't like telling on others. If I was in the same situation, I'd report him after I first talked face to face.

I can imagine this ladies neighbors are happy for the ban. I would be.
