Re: Stingray kills Crocodile Hunter(Steve Irwin)
There's old pilots
and there's bold pilots
but there's no old bold pilots'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Re: Stingray kills Crocodile Hunter(Steve Irwin)
We've lost a passionate conservationist and a talented wildlife educator. His work included so much more than just the Croc show. The work of natural history advocacy, education, and preservation have suffered a painful blow. More important and saddening, however, is the loss of a loving husband and father.

I was actually shocked to hear about this. It's so incredibly sad. Yes, it was a huge loss for the conservation of wildlife (luckily he was able to leave his mark) but I too thought first of his wife and kid.
I know that he focused on risky situations, but he was always so in tune with everything, so alert, and most importantly so respectful of the wild nature of the animals, I really didn't think something like this would happen."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

He came close to death many times before ... it was just bound to happen ... but really ... could you think of any other way he'd want to go? He died the way he lived.
