    I find it really hard at times to refrain from commenting on dumb-*** posts that are made by otherwise intelegent people. I know as a moderator it would not be good form, but still..............

      I couldn't disagree more... I'd call it a marketing strategy on miscellaneous "uninteresting" items. I'm not looking for a specific artificial decoration... and wouldn't click on a link to one... but if multiple unknown items are for sale, I'll check it out. After all, who here doesn't want stuff?!?!? His thread has about 300 views currently- more than most other threads that have been active for a similar period of time.

      BTW, did you mis-spell intelligent on purpose?

        So you believe that useless information is useful ?
        Well, It did make me look (more than once because I couldn't remember what he was offering.) But then, I usually look at everything in the Market section. If I ever wanted to find it after it rolls off of the New Posts section, I be SOL. But he could have sucked in the same uninformed window shoppers with something like "Antique Alien hi-tech Gadgetry" At least I would have remembered it.


        No, thats my orignal poor spelling. I found out I could skip school when they had spelling tests in the forth grade and I never recovered.
        Would be nice if we had a spell checker on the header. )

                        Who was judging who's character? I read nowhere that Jeb's character was knocked...just the title to his post in the Market. And from what I could tell, it was done in a comical manner. In fact, I believe PP referred to Jeb as intelligent...either way, does anyone here know PP and Jeb's relationship? Are they friends? Do they have a relationship that allows for this poke?

                        When did we all become so serious and sensitive around here?? Has anyone heard from Jeb that he was offended or hurt by PP's statement? I haven't.

                        Maybe everyone should go back and read some of the older posts...the ones that drew us all in here. It's never been an uptight forum. Many of us know one another outside of the forum, so there's an extra leniency on what is said. EK, you are a classic example of this. People poke you with a stick all the time...and you poke back. No one ever questions those threads...so why jump on this one?

                          You are right... I do not know their relationship outside of the box. but I will say the "comical" part was minimal and did not feel that it was highlighted in the post.

                          I am just going on how PP post when not clearly understandable... there are outburst or post at times that are way out of line whether due to influences or what not.

                          Also I treat others as I expect to be treated... PP on several occassions have edited threads and added comments about either being off topic or getting "personal" with another member but yet this thread was made by that same person, guess I'm calling it hypocritical which is probably leading me to point it out now.

                          I normally careless what others say or what goes down cause like you say there is the "familiness" of the site due to outside interactions/gatherings/etc. and I by no means am one to say that someone is out of line judging by my behaviour here as well as outside but then again I do not preach being "correct".


                          That is all.

                            Nothing that I am aware of, I was just surprised by the comment. It seemed to me, to be somewhat insulting from my initial veiwpoint.

                            I like J.R. and consider him a friend, so maybe this is why it surprised me to the extent it did????

                            Maybe JR and JEB are both laffing about this, I hope so...
