          wow....It took me like 40 attempts, and I knew where about 20% of them where.

            Now would it count if you googled map?

            I mean you were taught to use resources when needed right? Without resources then this map is a test of our memory.

              I had 17 done before I made my first mistake, (placing Chad) -- Gave up and didnt touch Chad again until I had some more. With about 10 left on the map, making only 1 guess (got it correct) I did Chad again (I know its in Africa, but not 100% sure where) and it took 3 tries to get it. With a total of 5 "mistakes" until this point, I have 7 counties (6 former USSR/CCCP, now independent nations and 1 African).

              At this point I am cheating and looking up Mauritania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

              With 35 country's to place and getting 1/2 correct on before making one mistake and getting another about 10 more without cheating and making anymore major mistakes, I feel confident that I know a little more about geography than the average bear :)

                i didnt know much just UAE, egypt and sudan because i have been there and iran iraq isreal palistine and afganistan because of the news but in my defence in school i had to know all of them and its alcohols fault i dont remember now

                  the last time i had to learn these in school the names were diff. on some. so much fighting over there nothing stays the same. knew the major ones.

                        Most fun in awhile. I did mix a couple "stans", UAE / Qatar, and Mauritania/Western sahara(new one for me). And I thought Baharain was dirt on my monitor.
                        Long ago ,I did use that phrase ("If you are....") on a grad student I worked for ; Dr. M responded "I am rich". That was a winning (and true) comeback.
