any oyster lovers out there? we had some at work over the weekend, it wasn't as fatty as i was hoping for.. any one know any place has good oysters now? hows capt. toms?

i like the oyters fry sha-bang cajun at Boiling Crab on Beltway 8 off beechnut. it's spicy. and you can try crawfish as well in the crawfish season(the size is so small for now). Enjoy.

There was a great article in the Houston Press about oysters over Valentine's weekend. It is a great read about oysters from different regions, oyster farming, etc. Right now is suppose to be good for oysters cause supplies are good and the bad economy is keeping prices low. I recently had some good ones at Pappadeux and some very scrawny ones at Rajin Cajun that weren't good.

oooh, I love oysters! Raw or "cooked" they're delish! a couple of years ago I hated them lol. I once paid Jeebus $20 to eat one, haha

I like mine fried. Even though I eat most raw fish sushi, I do not like the taste or feel of raw oysters.

All these food talk is making me hungry. Every now and then, I buy a bag and chill with the family. throw them on a grill. As soon as it crack open, a little hot sauce and BAM!

Last year, my friend Alan dragged me into the Hooters restaurant in Galveston after going to Moody Gardens. Though the waitress' feminine powers had no effect on me, the roasted oysters there were very tasty!
