    Bottom line.....we lost.

If the Texans want to go to the payoffs and win, they got to beat the colts at full strength or not.

Someone explain to me why the texans didn't run the ball 60 times?

Why stop doing something that works.

We lost and our defense is the worst in the NFL. That is why Manning who carves up good defenses was able to efficiently run the offense regardless of who he was throwing to. The Texans have a lot of work to do defensively and need to be more consistent on offense before they are contenders.

Darbex are you familiar with the New England Patriots? They have a coach named Belichik who because of his preparation and game planning wins regardless of what players are on the field. They allow highly paid big names to leave and lose players to injury year in and year out. Yet the system prevails because it is effective. The Payton Manning led Colts are the same. Payton as much as I hate to say it the best QB in the league and will be effective unless you put pressure on him, and we didn't.

And while success last year does not guarantee continued success you would be an idiot to discount a team who has won their division 6 out of 8 years it has existed and represented the AFC in the last Super Bowl. I mean it is not like we are talking about team whose last Super Bowl appearance was 1996

Yet you bash a team that has won more games been to more playoffs and won more playoff games than the Texans since their existence. No matter how you cut it the Texans shouldn't have lost that game if they want to be considered serious contenders. You can say all you want but Manning still had a defense just as bad as the Texans and an offense with a bunch of no bodies and were still man handled. At worst this game should have been a scoring fest with the Texans on top but they allowed one of the worst defenses to hold them to 10 points through most of the game. Who is this man you speak off in New England never heard of him or is team?

And I will continue to do so. The Cowboy's success of the mid 90's is about as relevant as the 49's dominance of the the late 80's and early 90's. It has no bearing on today. With free agency a teams roster turns over almost 90 percent every 3-5 years. That is why you hear analysts talk about windows of opportunity. Only recent success involving a teams core group within the past few years is relevant

I am a realist, when the league's best QB meets the league's worst defense the outcome is predictable. That defense is also the reason the Texans are not true contenders.

Try watching something other than the Cowboys on Sunday. That man and his team can also be found regularly atop the AFC standings. If you do a little research you will find that this man is 15-4 after a bye week. That is not coincidence or luck. It is a testament to preparation and game planning much like Peyton does. As the Cowboys have so clearly proven with their 1-6 record, it is not about talent on the field it is about coaching. (See Belichick, Fisher, Reid, Cowher, Parcells, etc. Hint you won't find Phillips or Kubiak)

What the hell does the 90s have anything to do with what I said. The Cowboys have been better than the Texans since the Texans existence. Last time I checked the Texans began in 2002 not 1990. So since 2002 the Cowboys are 72-56 with 5 playoff games and 1 playoff win. In that same time the Texans are 49-79 no playoff games. But lets say well the Texans were new and needed time to get started so in the last 3 years the Cowboys are 33-15, 3 playoff games and 1 playoff win. The Texans during that time are 25-23 and no playoff games. So you said you would be an idiot for discounting a team that has won yet you act like the cowboys have won less than the Texans. I ask you kindly do not insult my intelligence you do not know any more about football than me so lets talk man to man about the facts.

By the way I am a realist as well but if my Cowboys were 4-2 and I believed they should go to the playoffs this year. I would be pissed if they went to Indy and lost that game to the gimpy Colts. In all actuality I am pissed that the Texans didnt win because I am a fan of the Texans as well. To say well they are the Colts and they have Peyton so the loss wasnt that bad we are still 4-3 in my mind is what is wrong with Texan fans. You should be pissed right now because the Texans had 5-2 in their grasps and pissed it away.

Your arguments from last year prove that you do not know what you are talking about. Your arguments in defense of Romo have defied both logic and common sense.

Those are not the beliefs of a realist. Once again your arguments in the past have proven that you allow your emotions to dictate your thoughts and opinions. Those are the beliefs of someone who denies the reality of a situation and then is angry when their delusional view of things is proven wrong. I hope that the Texans can succeed and become a playoff team, I have no grounds to reasonably expect that given the defense, Kubiak's short comings, and the loss of our offensive coordinator to Washington. That is the fundamental difference between myself and the average Cowboy fan; realistic expectation and hopes versus the delusional belief that my team SHOULD win. Sometimes you are just over matched and sometimes your team doesn't play well. I enjoy watching and I enjoy debating it but I won't get mad over it.

At first your insults were taken in jest by me. So I was playing along but your continued assault on my intelligence on this matter has come to a point that I no longer view your words as a joke and I know take them as a serious insult. My defense of Romo does not make me an idiot. What it says is that I believe that he has the tools to be a great QB. So many people in the sports media including many people that have way more football knowledge than you and I have also said that Romo is a good border line great QB in this league. So then all of these people must be idiots as well. I do not let my emotions dictate my thoughts on this. Nothing about my previous statements would indicate such. Based on the events that led up to the game and the talent my team has I would feel that anything less than a win in Indy is a disappointment. That is based on emotions its based on the facts.

That is not emotion? What logical basis did you have to believe the Texans should have won this game? Their franchise record against Indy? Their sterling defense? The superb coaching?

I take your defense of Romo as a serious insult to my intelligence. Anyone who has watched a Cowboys game has seen him collapse. He has the ability and potential but has proven time and again that he does not have the mentall strength and determination. He has the unique capability to like an MVP for 3.5 quarters of football, only to fail when the game is on the line. As for the experts who all say that he is so great they are all performing an about face on that stance and openly questioning his ability to lead the team. I watched MNF last week and heard the criticism of all the analysts of Romo. Even his most adamant supporters are starting to come to terms with reality. However I try to form my opinions on what I can see as well as what the people more knowledgeable than than me tell me.
