There are many long time members who enjoy honest and open discussion about the topics allowed in this forum that were banned from the lounge over a year ago. The opening of this sub forum was to bring the opportunity for those discussions back to HFB by creating a special place for this where it is still a part of HFB but isolated and under it's own set of rules.

The primary reason for the ban on these topics was due to high passions during the last presedential election and it carried over into the rest of the site. That time has passed and this is an opportunity to bring back those topics for discussion.

This allows a place for non fish related real world current events to be discussed among friends and familiars without having to go to another site.

Lastly, It's a place on HFB where we can all go and there is "No Crying" allowed because there is a disclaimer when you agree to the rules and "Choose" to enter this sub forum. For the people who don't like it, they can leave or request not to even see it. For those who enter, you have made a choice so if you whine about what's going on in here, expect to be called out or have your access to this sub forum revoked.

Kiovo, you have no idea how embarrassed and ignorant I felt after I found out that you were a woman. To this day, I dont think that I could look you in the eye without feeling like a piece of crap. I dont know how else to apologize for that. I respect woman and usually most men as well, I regret so bad the way I talked to you a year ago and I know that I'll never be able to make it right but I never got to apologize to you personally when all this crap went down so here it is, I'm sorry. I've had this hanging over my head ever since it happened and its blocked me from doing alot of social things because people will forever think of me as the man who threatened to hurt a woman. I'm not that guy. I have been so careful with my choice of words and how I appear when I go auctions and social events. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know personally how I felt.

Thank you for personally apologizing. This is something that happen over a year ago, unfortunately it was bought back up again today. We all say and do things in the heat of the moment and shouldn't be forever judge by that one incident.

One could look at this sub forum as a barometer of current social opinion I suppose.......you never know, something shared here on the box, just might motiviate someone else to research certain facts and thereby causing a positive ripple effect over a small portion of the community....sounds silly I suppose, but it could happen.... :)

wow...a long day of work and come home to read this. Good thing to see EK back to his old self. suprised Thai hasnt been in here more often. Delock giving weak one-line statements. Jeebus still bringing up old stuff...you never let it go, everytime you try and report something said, its gets back to us that your still whinning. At the expense of ruining this for everyone? This forum is NOT a free-for-all. This forum is NOT a place to come and fight with people you don't like here on HFB. This forum is for adults to come and discuss relevant issues in the world today, period. Those who can't handle that need to let me know so I can remove your access to this forum.

I'm asking that everyone quit bringing up stupid crap from the past and use this forum for what it was intended.
