She didn't break any rules, the administrators at this school interpret the rule incorrectly. If my child was unfairly punish, I would go to her defense. Now if she had indeed done something wrong that's another story.

Spend time with your kids, and set boundaries, make rules, and be responsible.

Just becouse it is a rule dose not mean it is right. That is why we fight to get ruled changed. one persons opinion of what is right shouldn't be forced upon someone else. Remember it use to be a rule that you could make someone a slave becouse of there skin color. Or that you had to belive In the cathloic church. Or women were not as smart as men and dont deserve the same rights Don't follow the rule just becouse only follow the rules that you belive are just. But also be prepaired for the fallout of your actions.

Personally, I think it's what people make of their time there.

If the kids are re-tards then they are going to act bad and get nothing from it.

Stop pass blame and step up to the plate.
Are you referring to this case specifically or just in generalities?

If she obtained it from someone else...then hopefully she learns a lesson.
I'm not sure the what the school's rules are, but I'm sure a copy of the rulebook is probably in .pdf format on the ISD's website somewhere. Still, another child gave her the candy. So if the rule is zero tolerance for candy in school, then why was the "candy dealer" not punished as well?

This was the schools over reaction to a vague policy by the state to help rid obesity. The school is at fault here.

No way dude!! All that I know is where I have screwed up, and destroyed lives or been witness to it. I just want to share what I have learned, but for most people that need to be clubbed over the head to be able to see the mistakes they made.

No matter what I post, it means nothing...unless the heart see's it.

The important stuff in life is invisible, and can only be seen with the heart.

I don't care what color they are or what county they think this is. If someone wants to come up in my house without my permission, I'm have to start shooting.
