There have been several news media accounts of bomb scares, attempted bombings, mass killing of soldiers, internet attacks against the US government and US forces and attacks on the US financial system (possible recent stock market drop). There are probably a lot more attacks that are not reported in the media. I remember that Spain withdrew its troops from Iraq and possibly Afganistan under threat of more bomb attacks against Spain from terrorist. Spain complied with the terrorist demands and still was bombed by the terrorist after a short period of time. Is this what the US will experence in the future? I for one hope not!

well, let's see...years ago it was the boogie man, then came the war on drugs, now a days we got the war on terror....seems to me, we got to have a bad guy, say like.....osama bin somebody to keep the population in line.....er...i mean safe.....
Thank God for full body scanners and the patriot act....and all those check points with full metal jackets at the ready....i feel much safer now......

No! no! no! Its not war on drugs. Its make em legal so that they can be taxed! That will get the USA out of debt. The citizens would be compliant and the government would be able to take over every aspect of the citizens life from cradle to grave! That way one would only have to look to the government to solve all the citizens ills. Ah! Utopia!Comment

Everyone was warned and checked the box to enter! It is like cooking in the kitchen. If it one can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. Just like cooking, I'm sure that someone will have to get out of the kitchen too cool off for a while before heading back in.
On a serious note, I hope that nobody takes the comments, opinions and sarcasm expressed on this opinion forum too seriously or as a personal attack against them. Its only opinions and everybody has one! sunriseComment
