I always felt bad for the Jehovah's Witness kids at Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.

I can understand why public schools should not be religious based, but religion in public schools as elective courses would be just fine I think. No differnt than people taking music, autoshop, or sports?

As an elective, I can see. But to be fair, there should be courses on Judaism, Buddhism, etc.
What I believe in is fairness to all religions, not just favoritism toward Christianity.
This may be hard to believe, but I am NOT anti-religion. I am favor of fairness and against people trying to force their religion on others.

Nick, I mean this with the utmost respect and in the most literal sense. I do believe you are not anti-religion but you do come across as anti-Christianity some times. Now with that said, "Fairness" is a nice feel good word but what exactly do you mean by that? It seems like you are leaning more towards total equality. I find it completely unfair to deny Christianity the respect it deserves as the foundation for this great nation that offers you and everyone else that lives here freedoms you would not otherwise have were it not for the Founding Fathers and their Christian beliefs. None of the other religions you want treated with complete "fairness" played a part in the founding of this country. That does not mean other religions don't deserve respect, it just means that they did not play an equal part in the forming of this country and therefor are not equal in the history of the United States.

I believe world religions should be a mandatory history class and much more important than knowing some of the other crap they teach. But I feel that they should put the discussion on how this nation was founded back in the history books when they teach US history. Instead they tried to diminish its roll and importance.

I think an option for the history of religion should definitely be allowed in high schools. I love learning about all the different religions...i have found that a bunch if the religions are actually very similar.

So i have to ask...and be honest...has anyone's opinion of me changed now that you all know how anti Jesus i am? I just realized that I planned on hosting a GHAC meeting and i didn't want anyone to skip the meeting based on the things I've said on this thread.

That's a creepy a$$ picture. I don't usually go around letting people know about my beliefs because i know they aren't "socially correct". I don't ever want my daughter to know either. Im extremely jaded with a bunch of things in my life and i don't want Peyton growing up like that. Its hard work keeping up with everything i hate. Lol.
