FEMA is the agency that is in charged of taking care of the issues related to the Hurricane. So what was Bush supposed to do? He let a federal dept charged with handling handle it. Also the states and local governments are charged with taking care of the situation as well. If you remember during Ike we had the same problems in Houston with FEMA. The difference was that Texas and Houston were more prepared and have a better government then the corrupt NO and LA. Not Bush's fault that Ray Nagin is an idiot.

I actually like the current president. I don't vote according to party lines.

I'm conservative both economically and socially but not all republicans are conservative and not all democrats are liberals.

A question I have is why is no one questioning Obama's handling of the spill and the fact that he has taken a lot of money from BP to fund is political campaign? Everyone questioned Bush's loyalty and the fact that he took money from Haliburton and whether the war was to profit them. What is the difference? I am not sure that I subscribe that what Obama is or isnt doing is related to campaign contributions but I do find it ironic that the media and dems can criticize Bush for the same things that Obama is being criticized for.
