I am with Delock on this and I actuaLly asked the same thing in the very first thread of this forum

In my opinion the reasons stated for opening this political forum are blind to what it might do to this site and I have been asking my self if I want to opt out and a part of me does and a part of me doesent just to be here when this will blow up on someone
And to be the first to say I told you so

And I bet I am not alone


There is a billion other places to voice your opinions and to debate so why bring it home

I honestly think if you can't handle an argument/debate online then that's more of a personal problem that the person should be addressing with their parents or possibly some sort of counselor/shrink.

Regardless of where, there will be disagreements. Now, yes, this sub-forum will probably add fuel to it but regardless it's bound to happen.

I know of several "disagreements" that got way out of hand and I don't recall any of them being in the off-topic forum.
