  • In just two years...

It occurs to me that a couple years ago, when the lounge was shut down for political threads and personal attacks, anyone who posted an attack on the President and government was considered un-American. Their patriotism was called into question and they were invited to go live elsewhere. I find it ironic that the attitudes have changed in this regard. Now, with a President and government we don't like, it's perfectly acceptable to run down the current administration and feeling MORE American for doing so...

    Interesting.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Times and people change ...you know this.....our government is not OUR government anymore....just look at what's going on around us...

Thousands of americans are waking up every day to the goverments unconstitutional acts....like the blocking of SB1070.

I'm surprised more folks here on the box are not in the same boat with me....very surprised....sometimes I wonder if I am wrong....but that's not what my instincts tell me....

To say that our government is no longer OUR GOVERNMENT is insane. A majority of the people voted for this current administration. Just like they did for all of the administrations before it. But the rabble rousing and discontent should be expected. The pendelum does swing both ways. And in the future when another Republican administration takes office (which it will, to be followed by another Democratic admin. and back and forth and so on) the liberals of this country will be screaming from the tops of their lungs that this isn't their country anymore and that they want their government back. I actually glad Mark brought this up because last weekend my wife's 77 year old grandmother came to visit from Austin. We've long had differences of political opinion but as a family we were always able to not let it come up as a topic of conversation. Well this last visit was different, and I saw my wife and her grandmother have the most heated arguments I've ever seen them have, all over politics after her grandmother told her she was godless and going to hell for voting for Obama. She and her grandmother have not spoken since that visit. That made me think. We have families and friends dividing and states threatening to secede (sic.). Have we really come to a place as a country where we've regressed so much into a civil war mentality where we are willing to divide our families based solely on political ideology? i know it's not really the topic at hand, but Marks post helped me put this situation into perspective a little better.

Just because people voted, does not mean that they are listening to and working for the people....my point is, that they are not working for us....they work for wall street and large corporations who control the media and this nations other major industries....I'm not saying this is something new either...this process has been going on for decades...our country has been slowly but surely being taken over by men and women with more money and power than you can dream of....It all started back in the early 1900's ....1913 to be exact....with the passing of the Federal Reserve Act and the conception of the IRS.....

Really? You could disassociate from a friend or family member over opposing political beliefs.

I already have. Half my family is flaming liberal, the other half are bible beating, snake handling, Jesus freaks.

I want nothing to do with either one of them, or their agendas.

In todays world the separation between places isnt all that great. It really isnt difficult to visit family in Canada or Mexico for example. Hope on a plane and you are there in hours. I think if the civil war happened today it really wouldnt be a war per se. And I am not talking about race being the cause I am purely speculating on the division of the country.

For me personally, I feel anyone who doesn't love this country is welcome to leave it no matter who is in office. With that said, I wasn't thrilled with Bush but the Obama's disgust me with their openly expressing their disdain for our great nation, it's market system and the founding documents.

So for me, it's not the dislike of an administration (or it's actions) but the attacks on our form of government (and the founders) that warrants an invitation to find a better system and place to reside.

One nice thing about our country ....(for the time being)...is that you still have the right to leave this country should you feel like doing so

                    with that said.....

It's every american patriots right and DUTY to question their leaders should they appear to be less than honorable in their performance of their duites.....I myself am a veteran of the US Army and I believe I am still under an oath to protect and uphold the constitution of the United States....and I feel by questioning the current and former administrations as to their actions or intents, I'm doing my best to do my duty.

This is the reason why some members of the current administration, claim that any of the Tea Party members and former veterans, returning Gulf war vets, and all gun owners are to be viewed as "potential" home grown terrorist....check out or google MIAC.

The MIAC report does not concentrate on Muslim terrorists, but rather on the so-called “militia movement” and conflates it with supporters of Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, Bob Barr, the so-called patriot movement and other political activist organizations opposed to the North American Union and the New World Order.

The New World Order needs to come up with a better name because I can just simply not take that one seriously.

Seriously....I agree....like every other "tag" it has been used wayyyyyyyy to much lately....but the fact of the matter is....there is a plan in the works to bring about a global form of government were all the nations and citizens of this planet are ruled by one centralized form of leadership....

At least that is what I believe....
