SEIU, ACORN, UAW, Code Pink, NAACP, Rainbow Coalition, Teamsters, Media Matters, La Raza, The Teachers Union, AFL-CIO, Screen Actors Guild, National Endowment for the Arts, and many more are to the Democrats.

The Tea Party is a group of Americans that have a political agenda of lower taxes, less spending and smaller government. They will support any candidate that reflect their goals. It just so happens that most of the candidates that do have the same views are republican, Independent or Libertarian.

Very similar to the groups above that more often than not support Democrat candidates that support their agenda.
    Really?

Yep, Really. Based on your question here, you sound as though your confused or disagree. Care to expound upon the question?

This is what I mean about us squabbling over specifics, terminology and special interest groups......

The system is not working, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, whatever, they don't matter anymore, the entire system is corrupt, contaminated, outdated, ineffecient, mute, it's broke and we need to fix the government/machine before it turns on us....

          Question is.....How?

This video sums up the Tea Party. And notice, it calls out Republicans as well as Democrats. If you are a Progressive Republican or a Career "Big Government" Politician, you are not going to get the Tea Party support and you are as much of a target as the Liberal and Progressive Democrats.

How indeed. We could go to a lottery system. Just as part of our right to be an American citizen is to serve periodically on juries, we could serve a term in the House, Senate, etc. This eliminates lobbyists, coercion, special interests. It also eliminates the necessity that to be elected, you have to already be rich. Would this ever be adpted?..doubtful, but it's one idea.

We could also get rid of the rider system of putting bills together, or give the President a line-item veto, thus eliminating most of the pork that our tax dollars get wasted on.

We could also have American citizenship come with a price; serve a term in the military or other civil service to earn your franchise and right to vote. I think folks in general would take voting much more seriously if they had to earn it with their lives.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Well.....there's groups like this, that might have some real merit if we could undo the strangle hold that those in office have on us now...

GOOOH enables YOU to: [Run for Congress, all expenses paid], [Select Congressional candidates], [Evict the politicians]

And also, I was thinking about this new fangled invention called the internet...how cool would it be to be able to vote on some piece of legistlation via some sort of personal registration at home, something that could be verified by the voter and a commision that the voter is qualified to vote....and say like on a topic like bail out money, be able to cast a vote from home, instead of letting a few heads of state tell us what we want....

Now granted I know there would be alot of specifics to work out, but we must do something before this insanity grows out of control...
