Yup, our country and its citizens are under attack and the gov't does nothing. The last administration did nothing. But let the states try to take care of the problem on their own and suddenly the gov't wants to get involved. There should be armed troops on our border right now. We've had the Army patrolling the border of North and South Korea since the 1950s, yet we can't station them along the US southern border to protect our own citizens.

We need to vote out every incumbent in Washington. Maybe some new blood will do something...

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

          We don't want Mexicans here!

We don't want cheap labor and good food. They need to keep that in to themselves.

When La Raza publicly states that their goal is to have Mexicans illegally enter the USA and build a large enough population to take over the US... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

When we have States and Federal Government going broke and Mexican illegals coming into the US to get free health care and leach off a system they do not pay into... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

When we have Mexican border towns begging the US not to send illegals back to Mexico because the crime rate is on the rise from those criminals being sent back home... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

When we have overcrowded schools and an education system being overrun with children that don't speak English and require special attention when their parents are not paying into the system... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

When we have our citizens and Law Enforcement officers being killed, robbed and victimized on a daily bases by Mexican illegals... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

When we have Mexico attacking our immigration laws when theirs are much stricter and more strictly enforced... No, I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country.

I will pay a neighborhood teen to mow my yard. I will pay the extra few cents for a head of lettuce. You know why? Because I will save that money on Health care, education and entitlement programs in the long run.

So NO!!! I do not want illegal mexican invaders in our country, but I will welcome all the immigrants that enter our country legally and I am certain that these Legal Immigrants will continue to work hard to provide the services you have mentioned. Much like our LEGAL housekeeper and her LEGAL husband who does our yard.

That's the sum of their impact on our country? Wake up Thai. Most of them know how to use our system better than the folks who grew up here. The women know for a fact that all they have to do to get a permanent free pass to this country and its programs is to get pregnant and slide on over here to have their anchor babies. The men know that there is no end to the number of underhanded companies up here who will hire them at a very minimal risk to the company itself. The corporations want them up here, the government wants them up here. It's the majority of the citizens who don't want them up here and the only way to get our voices heard is through voting... getting rid of the entrenched career politicians now holding office and electing their replacements; with these new ones fully aware that THEIR days are numbered if they decide to pursue their own agenda over ours.

The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on
                United States Taxpayers

                Executive Summary

This report estimates the annual costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local level to be about $113 billion; nearly $29 billion at the federal level and $84.2 billion at the state and local level. The study also estimates tax collections from illegal alien workers, both those in the above-ground economy and those in the underground economy. Those receipts do not come close to the level of expenditures and, in any case, are misleading as an offset because over time unemployed and underemployed U.S. workers would replace illegal alien workers.
                Key Findings
                • Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level. The bulk of the costs — some $84.2 billion — are absorbed by state and local governments.
                • The annual outlay that illegal aliens cost U.S. taxpayers is an average amount per native-headed household of $1,117. The fiscal impact per household varies considerably because the greatest share of the burden falls on state and local taxpayers whose burden depends on the size of the illegal alien population in that locality
                • Education for the children of illegal aliens constitutes the single largest cost to taxpayers, at an annual price tag of nearly $52 billion. Nearly all of those costs are absorbed by state and local governments.
                • At the federal level, about one-third of outlays are matched by tax collections from illegal aliens. At the state and local level, an average of less than 5 percent of the public costs associated with illegal immigration is recouped through taxes collected from illegal aliens.
                • Most illegal aliens do not pay income taxes. Among those who do, much of the revenues collected are refunded to the illegal aliens when they file tax returns. Many are also claiming tax credits resulting in payments from the U.S. Treasury.

With many state budgets in deficit, policymakers have an obligation to look for ways to reduce the fiscal burden of illegal migration. California, facing a budget deficit of $14.4 billion in 2010-2011, is hit with an estimated $21.8 billion in annual expenditures on illegal aliens. New York’s $6.8 billion deficit is smaller than its $9.5 billion in yearly illegal alien costs.
The report examines the likely consequences if an amnesty for the illegal alien population were adopted similar to the one adopted in 1986. The report notes that while tax collections from the illegal alien population would likely increase only marginally, the new legal status would make them eligible for receiving Social Security retirement benefits that would further jeopardize the future of the already shaky system. An amnesty would also result in this large population of illegal aliens becoming eligible for numerous social assistance programs available for low-income populations for which they are not now eligible. The overall result would, therefore, be an accentuation of the already enormous fiscal burden.

Based on this article, I think anyone who openly supports illegal immigration or is opposed to ANY Federal or State enforcement of our immigration policies should be forced th shell out $1117.00 on the spot. Furthermore, I also feel those defending illegal immigration should cover the cost for those who are against illegal immigration.

That said, now that we know that there is a REAL cost associated with illegal immigration, Thai you are now on the hook for $4468.00 annually just based on this thread. You can make the payment of the Davis family restitution for 2010 of $1117.00 via PayPal to HFB.

If I remember right the church is a submerged church in the lake because the damn flooded the area where it was. And pirates can be anywhere not just the sea.

There is a record of similar incidents on this lake. People having boats, money and fishing equipment stolen by Mexican lake pirates. Her story is off IMHO only because it was stupid to cross into Mexico given the history of these events.
