I dont know how many of you have been to Austin and seen the trail of lights during Christmas. As much as I love Austin the liberal bastion in the city council are acting ridiculous. This year they axed the trail of lights for the forseeable future, citing budgetary constraints. This tradition has been an Austin staple in Zilker Park for over 40 years. My question is wouldnt it have saved more money to cut spending to provide free services to illegal immigrants and stop being a sanctuary city? I am so pissed, as a kid I used to go to this thing every year. Now I will never be able to take Gabriel to it when we go visit my mom.

I loved them too...such a magical place at night....such a rip off for future generations....
