sorry, but i kind of agree with this....if i were to walk into a bank and see a lot of religious references from anything other than christianity then i would probably be a little annoyed because i dont want those symbold of their religion thrown in my face....its the same principle only people get so touchy when its their own religion being asked to tone it down for the public viewing....i dont anyone would have an issue if they had asked a bank to take down muslim references.I love my baby girl!

It has to do with our culture and society. We are a Christian nation thus Christianity through our history is prominent. If you are celebrating christmas then you are celebrating a Christian holiday. I promise if you walk into a bank in Jordan you are likely to see images in celebration of Ramadan. Because that is in their society. And this whole thing of I am offended by Christmas decorations or saying merry Christmas by progressives is ridiculous. If that's e case then I am offended by people saying happy holidays. So what is America going to do for me to appease my "feelings"? As a note the word holiday is derived from Holy Day. So by saying it you are still referring to a religious day.

I think its messed up. I don't think the tellers should be forced to wear the buttons or have crosses in their offices but the federal government cannot tell them that they can't have those things of their own free will. It may not be good for business if you have a lot of nonchristian customers but thats up to the bank manager or whatever.135 gal Fahaka Puffer

Actually the bank is a privately owned bank .....and to be precise, the FED is not actually federal at all, it's a privately owned corporation, supposedly monitored by Congress.....

Our laws are based on judeo-Christian principles. Our culture is as well. Our country was founded to be free from religious persecution from the church. But they were still Christians and thus wrote many of our founding documents to include God. I don't think there is evidence of such but I am sure our founding fathers necessarily wrote the documents with the precise inclusion of all religions. I am not saying that given a do over that they wouldn't still give religious freedoms if they knew of influx of all religions to here.
