I like how Democrats and ISDs have gotten teachers to buy off that the cuts in education was the Texas government saying that the ISD's must layoff 100,000 teachers. Does anybody actually research anything? Why arent the teachers saying no and protesting the ISD's? If anyone had any sense they would see that the government is saying that the ISD must cut its budget by a total of $6 billion. They did not say how just cut it. A few facts to note, as of 2010 the total school budget of an ISD is about 54-56% administration costs (superintendents & support staff). The growth rate of the admin jobs have out paced the growth rate of the state population over the last 10 years. So a normal person would say wait why do we need 55% going to admins shouldnt a majority of the funds go to teachers. Why dont we cut admins to help get the state out of its budget problems?
