    So why does DHS need 450 MILLION hollow points?

    I'm reminded of a scene from the movie SHANE, shortly after Shane is asked to leave the Starrett homestead, the Ryker brothers show up to harass Joe Starrett and at one point they ask Joe if he's expecting trouble, because Joe is holding his sons' little 22 rifle. The comment is meant to be a joke of course....But my point here is, I don't see anything funny about this order from the Department of Homeland Security for a massive amount of ammunition. The article above will provide the details if anyone is interested in this fun little factoid...

    Seems to me, that the money slated for this purchase, could be used for something a little bit more constructive...but then again....Who am I to question the wisdom of our current admistration. I'm sure they will be sharing a few of these with us sooner or later.....smiles.

        Seriously folks, this ammo is not cheap, and for "our" government to order 450 MILLION rounds, this is a very unusual and alarming. The army is not allowed to use hollow points in war time, due to the extreme damage it will do to the person it is used on. It is against the Geneva Conventions Act of 1949 for any country to use this type of ammo in war time. So again, I ask....why does the government need approximately 10 times the amount of ammo used in the actions seen in Desert Storm?

                If by zombies, you mean the over medicated, mis informed, uninterested masses of US Citizens, then you may be right.
