  • Ron Paul draws nearly 7000 in California

While the media made front runner Romney and the other two "contenders" struggle to bring in crowds of 100 or more to one of their campaign stops, the one and only champion of the constitution drew another massive crowd of 7000 supporters in California on Tuesday. Where ever he goes, he continues to draw supporters and fans from all walks of life.

Here's the link should you wish to read more about the wave of support that follows the media forgotten/ignored and REAL front runner of the people of the United States.

While I like some of his opinions he will never get elected. His opinions are to far from the vast majority of Americans. Paul supporters are very active and willing to travel great distances for him but that doesn't make him a front runner. And you Paul supporters may say well he can run as an independent, he still won't win a general and will only siphon votes from a Republican. And in that instance we all loose because we will have 4 more years of socialism, a decaying economy, and a man that thinks he is above all else. To me a RINO is still better than Obama.

Mark this if Obama wins we are for sure headed to a major war. Biden will be correct and Obama will falter and the decay of the US will be accelerated exponentially.

        It's easy to add up....

Ron Paul = less government, less war, balanced budgets, restoration of personal liberties and the republic of the US.

Mitt Santorum Gingrich Obama = more taxes, more debt, more government, more tryanny, less freedom and prosperity.

        Enough said.

I find it hard to believe that so many people still think that the president, regardless of party, has power to change the course of government.

The president does have that ability Sunny. You need only look at the passing of obamacare. There were those in his own party who did not agree with it and even a handful who vowed to vote against it. Pelosi and Reed at obama's behest bullied them into voting for it by promising not to support any in the party who voted against it. While the POTUS may not have full control of all aspects his position does allow him a certain amount of leverage that can seriously influence the workings of the government. Theodore Roosevelt referred to this leverage as the "bully pulpit", and used it rather effectively.

Yeah, but the SCOTUS is yet to speak on that matter Gene.

What I'm trying to say is that it's funny how blame is put on Pres. Bush for this and Pres. Obama for that, when everything is a culmination of acts of government as whole. Obamacare is only one, albeit huge, example and I was generalizing.

Mine and many peoples problem with Paul is his means of achieving less government and his definition of it. He believes in an almost entire laissez faire in all aspects of society. Which sounds good but doesn't work for the opposite reason communism doesn't. People need incentive to do things and if given enough opportunity will unjustly help themselves.

Sunny an example is the bailouts and QE of how an admin and "government" can alter the economy.

I'm just talking about the president Brian. Congress should be more in focus and if they actually were any good, the administration wouldn't have to use executive discretion to get things done their way and have everybody ticked off lol

That's the whole point to Ron Pauls campaign, do away with the corporate sponsored coolaid entirely and provide folks with fat free democracy.
