They can multiply pretty quick and take over but if your not doing a reef its really up to you they'll sting corals and they won't get big enough for a clown to host there are better suited anemones for that I had my tomatoe clown host an anthelia colony I had

well i went to rip him out of the tank, and the little ******* sucked himself into a hole in the rock, any ideas how to get him out? would holding the rock under running hot water kill him?

you can get fish that will eat them or shrimp or use aptasia x if you pull the rock out and hit it with a toothbrush and prolly scrape it off

well i was holding off on adding more fish due to this whole funny numbers thing im having, but i guess ill run down tommarrow and buy one or s shrimp or something, cause there is no way i can get in that little hole he is in with a toothbrush.. kinda sad now, i was hoping my "live rock" was finally ALIVE!

Adding fish can throw your tank into a cycle just Ho slow

You can use lime juice put it into a syringe and stab the nem with it and start squeezing the juice in.

Ok so time to update, so far total fish count in the 2 week old tank is 4 and like 5 hermits,, we have a niger trigger, a common clown, a beautiful lion, and damsel.. there was 5 fish but the lion decided to eat the green chromis. only death that has occurred in the tank to date other then being ate, is today I lost a hermit. I had no history of these hermits they came with the live rock I bought, the guy said "most of them there comes from Galveston" so who knows, I chalked it up to old age.

Now far as the aiptasia I wanted to buy a copperband to deal with it, but I decided there wasnt enough to keep the fish fed and im still unsure weather this tank with go through any drastic changes beings it is so new.. i thought for a full 10 seconds about putting lime juice on it with a syringe.. before I just said to heck with this and pulled the rock out and held it under hot tap water for a couple of minutes till it was steaming.. that was 3 days ago and no signs of return.

now for the good new,, I FINALLY GOT A NITRATE READING!.. as of yesterday it was showing a 5.. as of today I pulled the bio balls out, I figured 2 weeks was not long enough for them to be established in the first place and if I was gonna remove them now was the time to do so. I think im just gonna keep an eye on the readings,, nitrite and ammonia are both still at zero and I think ill do a 5 gallon change on tuesday unless the nitrates crawl much higher by tomorrow.
