I find those notions to be used loosely. I've had a few dwarfs before I tore down my 75 reef and not one nipped at my lps. You just have to keep an eye on them and keep them well fed. Not saying they won't decide to turn around and take a bite out of one, one day but this is what I experienced.

The notion isn't loose it's a fact that they are likely to nip. Will it always happen no but the probability is high which is why they are listed as a caution reef safe everywhere. It doesn't matter how well fed they are they just like the taste. I have had it happen to me. Just like tangs as I have documented can't be trusted. Neither will nip the stronger sp LPS like euphyllias but the weaker ones like trachyphyllias and acans are delights to them.

I was pointing out the notion of making it sound like its a 100% thing that's going to happen. That isn't the case always so that's why I said it was used loosely to often like that shying the newer aquarist from certain fish. I'm not throwing a big fit about this matter it's just I thought I'd give my thoughts on what I've seen all to often.
