          As for live sand its up to you to decide wether or not you want a fine sand or coarse I had a fine sand in my tank and didn't really like it to much cause it gets stirred up easily and blown all over rocks and corals I like the carib sea special grade reef sand its a lil more coarse not to big just right imo and stays put

            The carib sea special grade reef sand was the cheapest at city pets I believe its was 40 for $40 but may honestly been cheaper than that

              I personally just did my tank with dry rock from reefrocks.net and I used two 40 lbs bags of coral ice agronaite sand fro. Dennis at fjw is 35 a bag. Salt I use is called salinity. I the. Seeded my tank with 10 lbs of live rock and after the cycle time of 6 weeks ur dry rock will become live rock. Its cheaper this way an u do t have to worry as much about hit bickers and pests that come from live rock

                I hVe some good live rock left over that I didn't use about 20 lbs worth I'll sell ya for 30 bucks also have 30 gallons of saltwater I'll give ya

                    Any body here know what the best deal is, the Caribbean sand sounds like a great choice but I want to see what other sands are out there?

                          Post up on the bst I've bought 25 lbs for $20 so that's not unreasonable may not be live and prolly need to be rinsed real good
